Meet Abhijit Reddy of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abhijit Reddy.

Hi Abhijit, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to follow my passion for personalized healthcare for people stemmed from one basic thought that occurred when I was asked a question by my brother-in-law and sister around their dining table on a weekend of March 2022.
The question was simple “isn’t the basic concept of preventive health is to prevent something from happening? Why can’t we monitor a person’s health and predict the health outcomes?” what followed that question was a lightbulb moment; I thought about every single person around me, especially the mothers, executives, engineers, doctors, even the doctors and nurses; who need to be at 100% every single day, balancing their personal and professional life. In this modern world with busy work schedules and lifestyle, people tend to forget about their own health. I talked to my colleagues, friends, and did online research of how current online personalized medicine is being practiced. Thus realizing the practice of modern medicine is being done in various pieces and I wanted to revolutionize care with multi-domain approach and thus was born wellnestMD.
My unique formula or approach of medical care analysis will achieve optimal health with evidence based medicine and promote your longevity. Traditionally, we are taught in medical school that preventing a problem/ disease is done by examination, age-appropriate screening along with a battery of tests. And once identified you give medicines or counseling to treat the problem. Say, for example, check cholesterol levels, if high, then start a medicine or modify your diet or check your routine blood pressure during a doctors visit and if elevated then identify the risks of elevated blood pressure and prevent heart disease or stroke. I will not just pursue your blood test levels for hormone or vitamin deficiency – insufficiency, but understand what is causing these levels to be abnormal. A professional boxer will need to maintain upper arm, strength and agility. I will individualize her/his biometrics by periodic biometric assessment and goal directed therapy. Where as a runner might need to maintain muscle strength or toned legs along with agility and I can monitor the same for their goal directed therapy. Well, if you’re a homemaker then you need super human mind and body for taking care of your family and I can work with your goals with frequent biometric data. From a simple pimple to acute symptoms of distress, I will be there for you. With my specialty in older adult medicine, I can identify cognitive deficits and functional deficits earlier than most, along with this comprehensive care model.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not a smooth road for sure; the place was new, no one knew me in this area/city and it is not easy to trust your entire health especially if you are young, into a new provider /place. I am a physician and to tell clients that I do not take insurance because that restricts my way of practice, has been a struggle.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What I do on a daily basis is constant ways to improve a clients health. If it is a problem of a menopausal woman dealing with mood or acne , I am reading articles, remedies tested and tried by woman of similar color , non traditional practices , peptide research and assimilating discussion points so that I can ask that client to come back and plan a mode of action unique to her needs. What I am known for is attention to details and finding a solution for a problem, be it faster recovery, staying young, putting the right supplements/IV solution inside our body , I am the one you can trust your health journey. I specialize in gerontology or geriatrics, I am an expert in identifying aging related problems, I call it the geriatric syndromes. I can identify frailty, cognitive deficits and work on preventing or delaying the projected outcomes. I am proud of serving my patients with sheer passion, multi-domain approach, determination and personalized care but most importantly with a smile. Its not what sets me apart from others but how it sets me apart from others by using most naturalistic science of heat, light, cold and hydrotherapy for mental health along with non invasive treatments like radio frequency heat and electromagnetic energy to help keep skin and muscle toned as well as the use of peptides, hormones, IV fluids and in house medications, all done at one place, here at wellnest MD.

What are your plans for the future?
My plans of future is to open this art of science and practice all across America and may be have the health system make a paradigm shift at a national level in understanding that not one size fits all and individualized/personalized medicine is what helps keep a community stronger, healthier and productive.
