Today we’d like to introduce you to Chaz Carter.
Hi Chaz, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve personally worked in the underground art scene of Atlanta for over 10 years. I’ve helped hundreds of artists with their creative vision and my photography studio is a new way to assist those goals. Aeon Studios came from the growth and expanding needs of my music production company (Bando Beatz). The creation of the studio may have been incidental but its successes are anything but.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Learning an entirely new industry was definitely a challenge. I had to learn the language of the field, the equipment, and how to use it in a hurry. Staying ahead of client needs and meeting the expectations is a daily challenge. Being a business owner on Edgewood Avenue comes with its own set of hurdles as well. More resources are needed to help the needy and businesses here should be kept in mind when it comes to crowd and traffic control. We’ve even had a wrong address police raid from the confusion of local leadership.

Aeon Studios is located at 380 Edgewood Ave NE, 30312. The studio is named after my 5 yr old son, Aeon. Our main attraction is our 8’x13’ cyclorama wall but the thing that separates us from other studios is including photo equipment and backdrops with every booking.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Please come by one of our networking mixers to meet likeminded creatives, take some Polaroids, or just enjoy the refreshments. You may even find someone to begin a mentorship program with. The best way to get yourself out there is to talk to others and just be yourself. You miss all the shots you don’t take.
