Inspiring Conversations with Lala Wright of Maison Noire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lala Wright.

Hi Lala, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! I’m LaTasha Wright. Since we’re friends, you can call me Lala. I’m a designer, storyteller, and creative entrepreneur based in Georgia. My creative journey began in fashion, I started as a style blogger, using personal style as a way to tell stories and explore identity. That experience sharpened my eye for design and taught me how much our environments impact how we feel and show up in the world. Over time, I began to see interiors as an extension of that same story — interior design is, in many ways, fashion for the home.

After years of working in corporate finance, I realized I was pouring into work that didn’t pour back into me. I craved more freedom, peace, and purpose. That led me to start Maison Noire, a lifestyle brand rooted in intention, beauty, and alignment. It blends soulful interior styling with curated home décor and furniture offerings, designed to help people feel more at home in every sense of the word.

I also co-own Vault 33/45, a vinyl-focused community and creative outlet for music lovers and collectors who appreciate storytelling through sound. Both brands represent different sides of me, but together they reflect the intentional lifestyle I’m building grounded in creativity, culture, and connection.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely had its bumps. There were seasons where I was managing a lot behind the scenes — physically, emotionally, and financially — while trying to build something new from the ground up. I’ve had to grow through burnout, shift priorities, and be honest about what was no longer serving me.

But those challenges also gave me clarity. They taught me to lead with softness, to design a life and business that doesn’t just look good, but feels good. That shift is what keeps me grounded now — knowing I’ve built something that reflects who I really am.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Maison Noire is more than just a design studio, it’s a lifestyle brand centered on intentional living. We offer interior design services, curated home décor and furniture, and thoughtful inspiration for those looking to elevate their space without losing soul or story.

Each collection or design project is rooted in warmth, culture, and ease. Whether I’m helping someone style their first home or sourcing pieces that make a space feel like a sanctuary, my goal is always the same: to help people feel more at home — with their space, their lifestyle, and themselves.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Start with what you have, where you are. You don’t need everything to be perfect to be impactful. Give yourself permission to grow in public and learn along the way.

Also — don’t shrink your vision to make other people comfortable. It’s okay if your dream is big. Keep nurturing it, keep showing up for it, and trust that it’s unfolding in the timing that’s right for you.
