Hi Winnie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi, I’m Winnie! I’m a passionate baker with years of experience creating artisanal desserts that are as beautiful as they are delicious. My journey began in my tea café, Tea House Formosa(2016-2019) where I set out to craft treats that were not only wholesome and flavorful but also visually stunning.

Hi, I’m Winnie! I’m a passionate baker with years of experience crafting tea-infused and artisanal desserts that are as beautiful as they are delicious. My journey began in my tea café, where I was inspired to create treats that were wholesome, elegant, and full of flavor.

Along the way, I’ve trained internationally—studying buttercream piping in Seoul and royal icing and sugar flower techniques in Taipei. I’ve been honored with a few award at multiple cake competitions and featured in Magazines, milestones that continue to shape my approach to baking.

Today, I focus on hosting hands-on baking workshops—specializing in cookie and cake decorating as well as advanced baking techniques for those looking to take their skills to the next level. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced baker, my workshops are designed to be fun, approachable, and packed with useful techniques you can use at home.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing is easy! Being a baker and cake artist comes with its own set of challenges. From creating detailed designs and working with delicate ingredients to managing time and meeting client expectations, there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. It can be tricky to price custom treats fairly, especially when people don’t always see the hours of work involved. Delivering fragile cakes, handling last-minute requests, and keeping up with new trends also keep me on my toes. Hosting workshops adds another layer of planning—from prepping materials to guiding students with different skill levels. Still, despite the hustle, I truly love what I do—and seeing others enjoy my creations makes it all worth it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Driven by curiosity and a love of learning, I’ve trained internationally—studying buttercream piping in Seoul and royal icing and sugar flower artistry in Taipei. Over the years, I’ve been honored with several international awards and features, including:

While I still offer custom desserts for special occasions, my main focus is hosting hands-on baking workshops. I specialize in cookie and cake decorating, as well as advanced baking techniques for those looking to refine their skills. Whether you’re a beginner looking for a fun creative outlet or an experienced baker ready to level up, my workshops are designed to be welcoming, inspiring, and skill-building.
