Today we’d like to introduce you to Hosaveli.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a musician that grew up on Bouldercrest but went to school in Clay Co. I started writing songs when I was very young but I didn’t record a song until I was 18. I’ve lived many different lives and experienced many different things, which I embody in my music. I got this far with the grace of God and my family. I could’ve easily not made it this far.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced many obstacles. Since a child I struggled with poverty, which made me become very money driven. I lost a lot of friends along the way from jail and death but 2023 I lost my blood brother and one of my best friends 6 months apart from each other. Something I could’ve never prepared myself for. Things like this don’t just go away, you battle with them until you’re gone if you ask me. Nothing in the world I want more than my brother and best friend back.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a musician, nonetheless. Some people say my lyrics are my strong suit, some would say my passion. I would say all of them combined. I make very raw and authentic music. Inviting my listeners into my life story and background most of the time. So if you love my music, you probably see yourself in my songs or you just resonate with it. I wear my heart on my sleeve in my music, that’s where I speak the most truth. I’m most proud of my resilience more than anything. I’ve been through a lot and it’s still not over but I will never stop until I get what I want and deserve. No one should. My unapologetic nature and truthfulness sets me apart from a lot of other musicians. I don’t hide behind the trends, or the hype. I let it all out and let the listeners decide.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I feel like things like that come as long as you’re chasing your passion. The right people will always find you along the way. As long as you’re living in your truth and staying dedicated to your dream. The mentor or manager, or team even. They will find you because they’re looking in the same direction as you. I’ve always just followed God and followed my heart, it may take time but inevitably you’ll find the right people or they’ll find you.
