Hi Wuraola , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started in the pandemic year, 2020 when I was meant to be in my second year in uni. I felt idle at home and decided to channel my long term dream in media which started when I was in primary 3 when I’d read news on the assembly ground. That pandemic year, I decided to kickstart my podcast with audios and that was how my journey in media began. Fast forward to 2021, I started hosting events in my department professionally.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been an entirely smooth road. I’ve had moments when my device crashed and I felt like giving up. I’ve had moments when I had to let go of co podcasters because my podcast agency, WURA RADIO is a radio-like one. As regards my career path as an event host, it has not been the easiest journey. I’ve had times when I didn’t even get the chance to have events to host or some that will believe I do not need to be paid. It’s just been one full of rough patches but I’m glad I’m here.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a professional corporate event host, a podcaster and a YouTuber. It’s fair to say I’m an event host and an audio-visual creator. What set me apart as a podcaster is the fact that my podcast channel is a radio like one where you have different programmes and different hosts on the same channel. As an event host, what set me apart is my ingenious character and ability to birth dream events to life. What set me apart as a YouTuber is my ability to document my profesional life in an interesting way.
The crux of the matter is, my authenticity sets me apart.
How do you define success?
Success to me , equals fulfillment. The moment you reach a point in your life when your sense of fulfillment is filled .
