Today we’d like to introduce you to Aundra Jackson.
Hi Aundra, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
How I started and how I got to where I am today is really a story of faith, passion, and perseverance. I took a leap — a faith walk — not because everything was perfect, but because I believed in the gift God placed in my hands. I’ve always had a passion for cutting hair, not just for the style, but for the confidence it gives people. Life threw its share of challenges my way, but I never let those obstacles define me. Instead, I used them as fuel.
What started with a pair of clippers and a vision turned into a real business. I stayed consistent, kept learning, and trusted the process — even when it was hard. Now, I get to do what I love every day, inspire others, and pour into the next generation of barbers. I didn’t just build a brand — I built a purpose
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not — it’s been anything but smooth. But every bump in the road shaped me into who I am today. I’ve faced a lot — from being a single father, to dealing with incarceration, to being on probation while trying to rebuild my life. There were times when I didn’t know how I’d make it through.
I was juggling a 9 to 5 job just to provide for my family, all while pouring everything I had into building my barbering business from the ground up. There were late nights, early mornings, and moments where I had to choose between paying bills and buying supplies.
But I stayed focused. I knew I couldn’t let my past dictate my future. I was determined to be a better man, a better father, and a real example of what it looks like to overcome. The road wasn’t easy, but the growth, the discipline, and the purpose I found along the way made it all worth it
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Fade and Beauty Factory?
What I want people to know is — I’m more than just a barber. I specialize in fades, precision cutting, and hair units for clients dealing with alopecia, but my mission goes deeper than the clippers. I do this for the love, not the money. What drives me is the transformation — not just the haircut, but the confidence that comes with it. Seeing someone smile, stand taller, feel better about themselves… that’s what keeps me going.
What sets me apart is the experience I offer. It’s not just about a clean cut — it’s about healing, motivation, and creating a safe space where people can feel seen. I understand that mental health matters. I’ve been through the storms myself, and I use my gift to pour back into others.
I want readers to know that I’m one of the best in my city, not just because of skill, but because of heart. My brand stands for purpose, perseverance, and being a pillar in the community. When you sit in my chair, you’re not just getting a cut — you’re being reminded that you matter
What does success mean to you?
I define success as showing up every day and staying consistent while working toward my goals. It’s not about perfection — it’s about progress. For me, success is about mastering my craft, staying focused on my purpose, and not letting setbacks stop me. As long as I’m growing, learning, and pushing forward, I’m successful. It’s the discipline to keep going even when it’s hard, and the commitment to be better than I was yesterday.
