Today we’d like to introduce you to Joanne Louis.
Hi Joanne, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with a deep love for service and an unwavering belief in the power of authentic, heart-led leadership. From my earliest days volunteering, I felt a strong calling to help others thrive. Over time, I found myself serving on the boards of several nonprofits—each one doing incredibly meaningful work, yet often struggling to think strategically, stay sustainable, or lead with the clarity they deserved.
This realization became the seed for what would grow into Holdings Consulting and Coaching, LLC—a business born out of a genuine desire to help mission-driven leaders think bigger, work smarter, and create lasting, soul-aligned impact.
As I walked alongside these organizations, I noticed something else: so many of the passionate, dedicated leaders I worked with were quietly longing to feel more confident, grounded, and whole—not just in their careers, but in every part of their lives. They wanted to lead with authenticity, live with purpose, and bring their full selves into the light. That insight inspired the evolution of my work, expanding our mission to include one-on-one coaching for professionals and entrepreneurs who are ready to break through internal blocks, reconnect with their truth, and step fully into the life and leadership they’re meant for.
Today, I feel deeply honored to lead a business that uplifts both organizations and individuals as they reach for their next level. Whether guiding a nonprofit through a strategic vision or helping a client rediscover their voice and purpose, my intention is always rooted in love and service: to empower people to lead with heart, live in alignment with who they truly are, and build lives and legacies that make a difference—inside and out
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road—but every challenge has been part of the journey that shaped me and deepened my sense of purpose. Building both a coaching business has required grit, faith, and an unwavering dedication to service.
One of the toughest parts has been staying connected to my “why” in moments of emotional fatigue—especially in the nonprofit world, where the needs are great and resources often limited. There were times I questioned whether I was truly making a difference or if I had the strength to keep going.
But I’ve remained determined to never give up—because I believe deeply in the people and missions I serve. Every time a client gains clarity, every time a nonprofit team moves from burnout to breakthrough, I’m reminded why this work matters. Those moments refuel me and reaffirm my commitment to show up, even on the hard days.
I’ve come to understand that the path to meaningful work isn’t a straight line—it’s filled with lessons in growth, humility, and resilience. And while the road has had its share of challenges, it’s also been full of purpose and joy. Helping others rise, reconnect with their mission, and build stronger, more authentic lives and organizations isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I’m still growing, still learning, and still fully committed to walking alongside those ready to step into their next level.
As you know, we’re big fans of Holdings Consulting and Coaching, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My coaching and consulting business is rooted in one core belief: when individuals and organizations lead with authenticity and strategy, they unlock their highest potential. I specialize in helping nonprofit leaders, professionals, and purpose-driven entrepreneurs gain clarity, identify their strengths, and build the confidence and structure they need to grow—both personally and organizationally.
Through my nonprofit consulting work, I guide organizations in developing strategic plans, strengthening leadership, building sustainable structures, and aligning their work with their mission. For individuals, I offer coaching that helps clients break through limiting beliefs, discover their authentic voice, and design a life and career that feels purposeful, productive, and fulfilling.
What sets my business apart is the intentional blend of heart and strategy. I don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Every client—whether an individual or an organization—gets a personalized, thoughtful approach that meets them where they are and supports them in rising to the next level. I’m known for creating a safe space for deep reflection while also pushing for action and accountability.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built. People come to me when they’re ready for meaningful change, and I honor that by walking with them through the hard work with compassion, honesty, and commitment. My brand is about transformation—not just success on paper, but true alignment and fulfillment.
To your readers, I want them to know that if you’re feeling stuck, burned out, or ready to grow with intention, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Whether you’re a nonprofit looking to scale your impact, or an individual ready to lead more authentically, my services are designed to help you build from a place of clarity, strength, and purpose.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 to 10 years, I see the coaching and consulting industry continuing to grow, evolve, and become even more essential—especially in the nonprofit and leadership space. The demand for authentic leadership, mental well-being, and strategic clarity is only increasing as individuals and organizations face more complexity, uncertainty, and rapid change.
One major shift I anticipate is a deeper integration of coaching into organizational culture. Coaching will no longer be seen as a luxury or something reserved for executives—it will become a foundational tool for team development, leadership pipelines, and overall organizational health. Nonprofits, in particular, will invest more in leadership coaching and strategic consulting to stay sustainable and competitive in a shifting funding and service landscape.
Another trend is the growing emphasis on emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and equity-centered leadership. Clients are no longer just looking for business growth or productivity—they’re seeking alignment, purpose, and inclusive leadership practices. Coaches and consultants who can hold space for both strategy and inner transformation will be in high demand.
Technology will also continue to play a role. Virtual coaching, AI tools, and data-driven consulting will increase, but I believe the human connection will remain the heart of effective coaching. People want to be seen, heard, and guided by someone who understands the nuance of their journey.
Ultimately, I believe the industry is moving toward a more holistic, authentic, and purpose-driven model—one that values sustainable growth, personal fulfillment, and collective impact. And I’m excited to be part of that shift.
