Hi Deneshia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My passion for event decor began 12 years prior to the studio’s establishment in 2023, after planning and decorating my own wedding. This passion deepened significantly after having children, as I was determined to create memorable birthday experiences for them, something I felt I missed out on growing up.
I established It’s Your Day Studio with the mission to help others have their special day be beautiful and a dream come true without breaking the bank. My studio focuses on customizing events like weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and birthday parties, reflecting the individual needs and personalities of each client. I also operate as a mobile party entertainment business, bringing the party to my clients.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has certainly been challenging. Among the difficulties I have encountered are marketing efforts to attract clients, determining pricing strategies to ensure profitability, and most recently, the search for a physical location to host events, thereby providing my clientele with a more comprehensive service.

I do not believe in luck. I have faith in hard work and divine favor, which have contributed to my success in both my personal life and my business endeavors. My belief in God and His purpose for my life is what inspires me and sustains my motivation. Although I do not always comprehend the journey, I maintain my faith because I recognize the calling on my life, and when I arrive at my destination, everything becomes clear.
