Today we’d like to introduce you to Susy Garcia.
Hi Susy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, I moved back to Georgia after living in Costa Rica for about 11 years. Within my first six months back, I gained about 30 pounds, bringing my weight up to 200 lbs. At the time, I had been working in corporate America for over a decade in Human Resources, but I found myself searching for something more fulfilling. At the time I was planning to join the Air Force, but not meeting the weight requirement was a big wake-up call. It forced me to confront the gap between where I was and where I wanted to be. That moment lit a fire in me. I decided to take control, lose the weight, and show myself that I could rise to any challenge I set my mind to.
Being overweight never felt true to who I was, but for years I couldn’t figure out what worked for my body. I started to believe maybe I was just supposed to be that way. Still, I wanted change. I made it my mission to lose the weight and prove to myself that I could meet the physical requirements. I lost 15 pounds on my own in the first few months of 2020, but I knew I needed expert guidance to keep going, so I found a personal trainer in Atlanta with a proven track record of real results.
That decision changed everything. In three months, I went from 185lbs to 155 lbs and something bigger shifted in me. I realized I didn’t want to join the Air Force anymore. Instead, I got certified as a personal trainer because I knew I wanted other women to feel the same sense of pride and power I felt after transforming my body and mindset.
After years of thinking I couldn’t change, all it really took was a few months of discipline and commitment and choosing myself. Today, through SusySays Fitness, I’ve helped countless women not only transform their bodies but reclaim their health, confidence, and power. I truly believe when you change your body, you change your life and no one can ever take that away from you.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is never smooth, it’s always eventful, and SusySays Fitness has been no exception. It was born out of my own transformation, with the goal of helping women change their lives. I ran it as a side passion while also co-owning another business full time. When I first launched SusySays in 2020, things took off quickly. I ran multiple online group programs and saw incredible results, with clients losing anywhere from 20 to 45 pounds in just 90 days, all without ever stepping inside a gym with me.
But growing a business isn’t always linear. In 2022, I shifted to offering one-on-one training and began working with clients locally in the Dallas, GA area. From 2024 to today, I’ve pivoted again, balancing online programs for women who are serious about losing weight or simply want to build a healthier relationship with food.
Like any entrepreneur, I’ve faced my share of challenges. Adapting to my clients’ evolving needs, and learning how to expand without losing the personal touch that makes it special. But every twist and turn has taught me something valuable. I’m proud of where SusySays Fitness is today, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
SusySays Fitness started with a clear mission: to help women lose weight, because I knew that struggle firsthand. But over time, it’s grown into something so much more. Today, SusySays is about guiding women toward sustainable results, not just quick fixes. I still love helping clients drop 10 or 15 pounds for a special event, but my bigger passion is showing them how to build healthy habits they can maintain for life.
What sets SusySays apart is that I’m not just coaching from a textbook — I’ve been exactly where my clients are. I know the ups, the downs, the setbacks, and the mental battles that come with trying to change your body and your mindset. That real-life experience means I can meet every client where they are — with understanding, realistic tools, and a program that truly works in the real world.
What makes me proudest is knowing SusySays Fitness gives women more than a workout plan. It gives them back their health, confidence, and sense of power. That’s something no one can ever take away from you. My goal is simple: when you follow SusySays, you don’t just lose weight, you win your life back.
The name SusySays was inspired by the game Simon Says, simple, fun, and clear: follow the steps, and you win. That’s my promise too. I believe fully in my methods because I’ve lived them. If you follow a SusySays program with consistency and trust the process, you’ll get results, not just on the scale, but in how you feel about yourself every day.
I now offer a range of programs to fit every woman’s goals, from quick-fix jumpstarts to sustainable lifestyle plans, plus gentle detox programs to reset your digestive system, customized workout routines, and realistic meal options. Earlier this year, SusySays hosted its first in-person group event centered around a HIIT workout, which was a great success and inspired me to add this as a service for businesses looking for fresh ways to support corporate wellness. My workouts are energetic and fun, like an adult field day designed to get people moving, laughing, and connecting while staying healthy together. No matter where you’re starting from, SusySays is here to help you win.
