Meet Mae Riley of Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mae Riley.

Mae, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story began as a child. I grew up singing in the choir, and I was in a church play. As a teenager. I originally got nationwide exposure by winning a poetry contest, and I won a scholarship to Alabama State University’s summer Theatre Arts Program (Taps). There I learned about theatre and I was in a play called Ball of Confusion. I then had a photo shoot in Atlanta with Beni’eare. I posted the photos, became worldwide famous, and everything went from there.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have had many challenges, but I have succeeded regardless. Living in a smaller market, not being represented by an agent, and not having a manager, assistant, or publicist. I haven’t had a team to assist me. I have done much of the work alone. I have learned a lot doing things, doing almost everything for myself.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is more than my appearance, it’s my passion, my mentality, and my commitment to excellence. I embody a wide spectrum of talents across modeling, acting, singing, dancing, writing, and entrepreneurship, and I bring heart to everything I do. One of my proudest moments was walking as the celebrity guest model in a local fashion show, surrounded by family and community. That night was a celebration not just of my work, but of the journey that led me there. Working with college models added meaning and joy to the experience. it reminded me that I’m part of something bigger. I’ve built real connections across industries, because I show up with authenticity, creativity, and unstoppable drive.”I have also recently been inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who in America. That makes me very proud.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve taken risks that most would shy away from, choosing authenticity over convention. Instead of selling my photos, I shared them freely, and the response was immediate: I became high in demand. At the height of my career, I stepped back to raise my daughter, embracing a different kind of spotlight. My return came with purpose. I walked as the celebrity guest model in 2013 for Rip the Runway Your Way, a charity show that reminded me why I do this. Every step I take is rooted in passion, legacy, and love.”
