Jerri Reid of Atlanta on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Jerri Reid and have shared our conversation below.

Jerri, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
What I’m being called to do now is fully trust myself and move with faith. I used to be afraid of taking that leap but now I feel grounded in purpose. This season feels different. It feels aligned.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a dedicated wife and mother who’s deeply passionate about creating with intention. Family and peace are at the core of everything I do, and I believe in pouring my energy into what truly matters. When I’m not with my loved ones, I’m fully invested in building my brand and growing as an entrepreneur. Creating allows me to express who I am while building something impactful.

That vision comes to life through Naked Buttah. It’s a skincare brand designed to elevate the everyday ritual of self care. Rooted in luxury and simplicity, each product is crafted to nourish the skin and create a moment of calm. Naked Buttah encourages you to embrace your natural beauty, care for yourself with intention, and feel good in your own skin.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that’s served its purpose is the version that constantly showed up for everyone else, even when it meant abandoning myself. The urge to fix, to carry, to overextend has been released. It’s time to choose me. It’s time to pour into my growth, my peace, and the vision I’m building through my brand.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were definitely moments I wanted to give up. I think that’s a natural part of the entrepreneurial journey. When things don’t go as planned or the pressure starts to build it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. I’ve faced frustration and seasons of limited resources but I always come back to my why. That’s what keeps me going.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
That would have to be my daughter Justice. She’s only eight but her strength and resilience amaze me. The way she adapts to change with such grace is inspiring. She has the sweetest spirit and keeps me grounded. She makes me better in every way. I know she’s watching so I have to rise higher if I want her to go further.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace when I’m home in my pajamas with my family close by. There’s nothing like the comfort of being in your own space surrounded by the people you love. That’s where I feel safest and most grounded. That’s my peace. That’s my why.
