Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Ashley Sessions of Atlanta, GA

Ashley Sessions shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Ashley , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first four hours of my day are my sacred time for self-care—it’s how I set the tone for everything that follows. I begin with prayer, a moment of gratitude, and quiet reflection to center my mind. From there, I cue up my Manifestation & Uplift playlist to energize my spirit and get into a positive flow.

Then it’s off to the gym for a focused three-hour session: 90 minutes of strength training to build power, 60 minutes of cardio to keep my endurance high, and 15 minutes of deep stretching to restore and prevent injury. This routine not only strengthens my body but also fuels my discipline, focus, and resilience—qualities I bring into my work every day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Ashley Sessions, founder of Pampering Sessions, a luxury self-care and wellness brand dedicated to helping people treat self-care as the sacred art it truly is, an essential act of devotion to oneself.

Pampering Sessions was born from my own journey of learning to prioritize my well-being. After years of pouring into everyone else, I realized that true beauty and strength begin with honoring your own needs first. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you shouldn’t have to. This brand is my love letter to those who give endlessly yet forget to replenish themselves.

Every product and service we offer is designed to transform self-care into something luxurious, intentional, and unforgettable. From decadent body butters to luminous oils, each creation invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and return home to yourself. Here, you’re not just pampering your skin—you’re nourishing your spirit, renewing your light, and reclaiming your glow.

We’re always expanding our offerings. This September, just in time for World Beard Day on the 6th, we’re launching our Beard Collection—crafted to bring the same level of care and luxury to men’s grooming. We’re also introducing our Wellness Journal, included as part of our life coaching program but also available to the public. This isn’t your typical journal—it blends open and guided journaling with practical wellness tools. You can take our self-care archetype quiz, receive tailored self-care suggestions, and access actual tools to incorporate into your plan.

Pampering Sessions is more than a brand—it’s your sanctuary. A place where you can pause, pour back into yourself, and step into your most radiant self.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
No matter the relationship, whether it’s personal, professional, or within a community, bonds are built on trust, shared experiences (both the beautiful and the tough ones), a feeling of safety, and countless little moments that connect us. We often point to betrayal or inconsistency as what breaks trust, but I’d add another: unresolved conflict. When disagreements remain unaddressed, or when we hold someone to expectations we’ve never actually shared, the connection can quietly start to unravel.

When it comes to restoring a bond, I always start by asking: Should this bond be restored? Not every relationship is meant to be mended, and that’s okay. But if it is worth repairing, open and honest communication is key. That means speaking your truth, but also listening—not to defend yourself, but to really understand the other person.

Acknowledgment is just as important. It’s about saying, “I see how this hurt you,” without getting defensive, and being open to hearing how your actions made the other person feel. When both people can show up with empathy and a genuine desire to understand each other, trust has a real chance to grow back, sometimes even stronger than before.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
After sitting with it for a while, I realized I never really hid my pain. I just learned to smile through it, to keep going, so no one would ask questions I wasn’t ready to answer.

But there came a moment, standing in front of the mirror one morning, when the smile felt too heavy. It didn’t feel like me anymore. I decided right then I wasn’t going to keep pretending everything was fine. I was going to face it, feel it, and work through it.

That choice changed everything. I used the tools and exercises from my Life Coaching Certification for myself. And piece by piece, I started turning old wounds into something powerful.

That’s when I realized my strength wasn’t in hiding the pain, it was in owning it, healing it, and letting it guide me into the next chapter of my life.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I see fads like shortcuts, those shiny, quick-fix ideas or gimmick products that promise the world but rarely last. They can give you a quick burst of results, but it’s like lighting a match; it burns bright for a moment and then fizzles out.

Foundational shifts are different. They’re a journey. They take time, patience, and a willingness to walk through the peaks and valleys that come with real change. Sometimes the progress is slow, but every step matters.

And on that journey, I’ve learned how important it is to pause, look back, and really see how far you’ve come. Celebrate the growth, honor the lessons, and recognize the strength it took to get here. Because true change isn’t just about reaching a destination—it’s about becoming a better, stronger version of yourself along the way.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace whenever I’m near, in, or around water. There’s something about it that feels like home to my spirit. The sound of waves crashing has this almost magical way of quieting the noise in my mind; it’s like my nervous system instantly resets. With each wave, I can feel myself letting go, releasing whatever I’ve been carrying that no longer serves me. It’s as if the water takes those burdens and carries them far away, leaving me lighter, calmer, and more grounded in the present moment.
