We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kaden Tranum. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Kaden, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
At Tranum Graphics, I am chasing the opportunity to help people and businesses bring their vision to life; A brand, a story, or an idea a client may have. If my clients come to me with something they care deeply about, and it’s my job to help shape that vision into something powerful and professional. I am chasing the opportunities that I have been given and making an impact for others.
If I stopped chasing these opportunities, it wouldn’t just slow down the business. It would mean stepping away from the thing that gives me purpose in my business and forgetting one of the most crucial aspects I have built my business on, which is helping others create something meaningful for their business. I didn’t start Tranum Graphics just to design things, I started my company because God has given me a talent to create, and I use that talent to help others because I truly want to make an impact for someone else. I want to help people believe in what they’re building. To me that’s something worth chasing every day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kaden Tranum, and I am the founder & CEO of Tranum Graphics. A multimedia company built to help individuals, businesses, and organizations bring their ideas to life through bold, high quality creativity. We specialize in graphic design, website development & design, digital media, photography, and videography. But more than just offering services, we offer strategy, vision, and partnership.
What makes Tranum Graphics special isn’t just the quality of our work, it’s the heart behind it. Every client is different, and I treat their goals like my own. If it’s a new business just getting started or an established organization looking to grow, I want to step in as a creative partner who listens, understands, and delivers work that connects and inspires their audience.
Right now, I am expanding my gear as well as my portfolio, refining my brand voice, and working on some really exciting projects like animated commercials and full-scale brand transformations. I’m not just designing visuals, I’m helping people believe in their mission and stand out in their own space.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad, without question. He taught me that work isn’t just about what you do, it’s about how you do it. He led me by example, showing up every day with consistency, integrity, and pride in whatever he put his hands on, even when things get difficult. My dad is a hard working person and has taught me to never give up.
He never had to give a lecture, his actions spoke louder, He showed me that real work is about commitment, showing up for others, and doing things the right way, even when no one’s watching. That foundation is something I strive to have for Tranum Graphics. It’s how I approach clients, how I lead creative projects, and how I keep pushing to grow and improve. My dad didn’t just teach me about work he taught me how to honor it and respect the opportunities God gives me.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell him: You’re doing better than you think, and it’s okay to take your time. You don’t have to have everything figured out right away. Keep trusting your instincts, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to stand out. The challenges you’re facing now are shaping the strength you’ll need later. Believe it or not, you’re going to build something meaningful that helps a lot of people. Be proud of who you are becoming and the opportunities you get, even when it’s hard to see it. Don’t stop learning new things and let your ideas shine. Don’t let the setbacks you come across define you as a person and strive to continue helping others. Make long lasting connections, take constructive criticism, and learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That design is easy, cheap, and optional. The industry has created this illusion that anyone with a template and an internet connection can call themselves a designer, and that “good enough” is good enough. But the truth is, real design isn’t just for decoration, it’s about strategy, storytelling, psychology, and working together.
Business owners are often told to focus on visuals later or that branding doesn’t really show any results. That’s a lie. Your design is the first thing people judge you on, and it sets the tone for whether they trust you, remember you, or choose you for the project. At Tranum Graphics, I don’t just make things look good, I make them work. Because when you’re trying to grow anything, “good enough” won’t get you there.
Another lie the industry tells is that design is just about following trends. But, trends come and go. what really lasts is clarity, authenticity, and connection. Chasing what’s popular might get attention for a moment, but it won’t build a brand that lasts. At Tranum Graphics, we design with purpose, not just for clicks or aesthetics. I build identities that hold up for years, not just in this week’s algorithm. My goal is to create something meaningful and impactful that lasts, not something that’s temporary. Don’t let the industries lies shape your business.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I believe I’m doing what I was born to do. What God created me to do. This path wasn’t handed to me by anyone else. It was something placed on my heart, something I felt deeply called to pursue. I’ve had moments of doubt, pressure to follow a more conventional route, or to play it safe, but I’ve learned that obedience to God’s purpose is more important than anyone else’s expectations.
Tranum Graphics isn’t just a business, it’s a mission. It’s a way for me to use my God given talents to serve others, create meaningful work, and shine light in a world that needs it. I don’t take that calling lightly, and I’m grateful every day to be walking in purpose, not just following a script. God has given me everything that I can ask for and I’m so thankful that I get to do what I do everyday, without him my company would mean nothing.
