Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with HoffaBlock

We’re looking forward to introducing you to HoffaBlock. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning HoffaBlock, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
We recently had our annual Reno Money / Labor Day Kids Fest and it was a success. We intertwined sports and entertainment by hosting a 3 versus 3 youth basketball tournament and inserting youth performances before every game. A live DJ kept the latest hits playing while the athletes were competing, and the artists and content creators were networking and creating!
The event was an overall success and testament to the Reno Money brand.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
HoffaBlock, CEO of Get Money Get Fresh Corporation, is the driving force behind the entertainment based company. Get Money Get Fresh Corporation also known as Gentlemen Making Good Financial Choices are deeply rooted in 3 different industries.

The music division has various talented musical artists, does bookings, hosts concerts and events, and oversees the recording studio operations. The artists roster includes 12 year old sensation Reno Money, Kentucky-based artist Sis’Ali, the multi-faceted artists GeTiTPoPPiN & KA$H K, and newly acquired female duo Ki and Chan. HoffaBlock plays more of a an executive producer role, but also has a music catalog. All the artists have music available on all the major streaming platforms.

The sports division of the company deals with youth athletics ranging from basketball, football, soccer, baseball, track & field, and training programs. The company creates and hosts leagues, camps, training sessions, and team placement. Get Money Get Fresh also assists athletes in receiving paid promotional partnerships on social media platforms and landing NIL deals. In the future we hope to represent various athletes as their agent in a professional sports setting.

Get Money Get Fresh is also involved in the tech industry. We create and offer a range of courses and programs that introduce the creation of apps, how to use A.I., and concepts of higher learning.

We integrate the industries as we see fit, but at the same time operate separately as each division have different mission statements.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest moment of feeling powerful was when I was 18 years old. I graduated high school and drove off to college. I arrived with the bare necessities. By week two of college I created a “convenience store” on campus and was making $1000 per week. I noticed many of the freshmen didn’t have vehicles and couldn’t easily buy things they needed or wanted, so I supplied a demand. On that same note, I noticed there wasn’t much of a “night life” so by the end of the first month of my collegiate experience I created an event planning company, Get Money Get Fresh, and starting hosting parties and events for the college campus market. The events took off like a rocket and the money started consistently pouring in. We quickly expanded to clubs and arenas in the tri-state area and built upon that success to manifest where we are today currently. I remember that feeling of achievement and success from starting something from scratch. Paying Dj’s, security, and employees, while seeing the vision yield money, influence, and respect; that was my business adulthood experience of feeling powerful. I made myself a Boss.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would stress the importance of long term gratification over instant gratification. I would advise my younger self to not buy flashy clothes, jewelry, cars, and expensive outings once you start making more money than you’re used to making. I would replace diamond earrings, rings, and necklaces with stocks in social media, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and gold.

I would stress the importance of investing in real estate instead of lavish vacations at first. And instead of buying designer clothes and shoes, invest or create a clothing brand and wear your own clothes and shoes that we would make popular and sell to consumers.

I would assure myself that the early discipline and investing would yield all the material things, vacations, and money 100 fold if I were to do this.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
I usually don’t fall into fads. Usually if everybody else going right, we go left to explore. A lot of times our corporation has brainstormed ideas that were ahead of its time. Meaning, that we may have implemented and introduced a new strategy to promote events, but because the strategy was not highly revered at the time a lot of people in the industry didn’t adapt. But as time passed along our very concept and idea would be popularized a year or two later. The good thing about that was we were already ahead of the game with the proper layout and organizational template needed it to fall right in line. While others may have thought we were falling in line with the latest fad; little did they know we were actually some of the earlier pioneers of the shift. Which ultimately gave us a chip on our shoulder, knowing we were ahead of the thread and will continue to be as long as we were innovative and creative. Get Money Get Fresh has always embrace the mindset that we are the movers and shakers, the grinders and go-getters, the ones the others should follow. A true foundation of shift can be contributed to real time analysis, hands on dealings, and knowledge of the industry. We will always be able to differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts. It is just a matter of if we introduce the concept too early to consumers and industry leaders who are not ready for the shift at the time. Once it comes to fruition, we always double back and ground our self with what we already had prior knowledge in.
We also experienced the same scenario on the fashion side. We would introduce new styles or go against the fashion norms only to get backlash and ridicule., but again a year or two later, everyone will be dressing with the influence that we introduced prior to the shift. But the timelines always give us our credit because one thing for sure our shifts and implementations were always documented on social media and in real life time.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When have you had to bet the company?
I bet the company every year. Every year we look to introduce something bold and innovative, to try to stay ahead of our competitors and above the loop. Again, this goes to my comment of introducing things too soon sometimes and it not getting the response that we hoped for initially. Sometimes when something seems far-fetched or consumers can’t internalize the shift you will not get the results you were expecting. But if you believe in the idea or product, you must find ways to reintroduce it to appeal to the masses.
We will continue to try to stay ahead of the thread, be the innovators in the industry, and provide quality overall.
