Alexis Hunt’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We recently had the chance to connect with Alexis Hunt and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes, I would definitely hire me. I bring a unique balance of professionalism, creativity, and resilience. In my role as a Business Analyst, I’ve developed strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills that allow me to break down complex challenges and deliver clear solutions. As the owner of MommyGang and LexCreateIt, I’ve learned what it takes to successfully build and manage businesses—everything from strategy and operations to customer relationships. Those experiences have sharpened my leadership, time management, and innovation.

On top of that, being a mom has made me even more driven, adaptable, and committed. I know how to prioritize, handle pressure, and still deliver results. Altogether, my work ethic, entrepreneurial experience, and personal dedication show that not only would I hire me, but I’d trust me to go above and beyond in any role I take on.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alexis Hunt. I’m a mom, entrepreneur, business analyst, and creator, passionate about building businesses and communities that empower others. I’m the founder of MommyGang, a brand and sisterhood that helps moms feel confident, stylish, and supported every day. I also run LexCreateIt, my custom design business, and host The Good, The Bad, The Thirty podcast, where I share real stories about life, growth, and navigating your 30s with honesty and humor. Through all of my work, I aim to inspire, uplift, and show that with faith and determination, anything is possible.

What makes MommyGang special is that it’s more than just a brand—it’s a sisterhood. It’s a space where moms support other moms, reminding each other that we don’t have to lose our sense of style or identity while caring for everyone else. I design with real moms in mind, blending comfort, functionality, and style so that no matter what your day looks like, you can show up feeling your best.

Right now, I’m focused on growing MommyGang into a lifestyle movement where motherhood meets community—where moms uplift one another, share their journeys, and embrace both the challenges and the beauty of everyday mom life.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed I was meant to just be average. I didn’t see myself as driven or a go-getter, and I underestimated what I was capable of. Over time, I realized that wasn’t true at all—I’ve always had the ability to push forward and create something meaningful. I just needed to trust God, believe in myself, and embrace the gifts He placed within me. Now, I know I was never meant to be average—I was meant to lead, inspire, and build something greater than I imagined.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, in 2021 and 2022 I went through a really difficult period where I fell into depression. It was a time when I felt like giving up, and I had to pause everything—my businesses, my goals, and the pace I was keeping—to focus on my mental health. That season forced me to slow down and really do the inner work. It wasn’t easy, but it taught me the importance of prioritizing my well-being and reminded me that taking a step back doesn’t mean failure—it means strength. That experience made me more resilient, more grounded in my faith, and more committed to the vision I have for myself and the communities I’m building.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
One project I’m committed to, no matter how long it takes, is opening a MommyGang storefront. For me, it’s not just about having a physical space—it’s about creating a home for the community I’ve built. I envision a space where moms can shop, connect, and feel seen, supported, and celebrated. I know it will take time, planning, and resources, but I’m dedicated to making it happen because it represents the heart of my brand: style, sisterhood, and moms uplifting other moms.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone, I hope people tell the story of a woman who never gave up on herself and always poured into others. I want to be remembered as a mother who showed her son the power of faith, resilience, and love. As a businesswoman, I hope my story is that I created spaces—like MommyGang—where women, especially moms, felt seen, empowered, and supported. Most of all, I want people to say that I left behind a legacy of strength, sisterhood, and inspiration, and that my life reminded others to trust God, believe in themselves, and keep going no matter what.
