We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jasmine Jones. Check out our conversation below.
Jasmine , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me right now starts with taking care of my family in the morning, then shifting into business mode. Since I run my business from home, I wear many hats—I’m the product maker, content creator, customer service, and marketer all in one. I usually spend time fulfilling orders, creating content for Instagram and TikTok, and brainstorming new products. I try to batch-create content so that during the week I can stay focused on customer interactions and product development. Even though every day looks a little different, my focus always comes back to making sure my customers feel cared for and confident with my products.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Jasmine, and I’m the founder of Hustle Pretty, a feminine hygiene, skin, and body care brand that I started in 2020. What began as me making lip glosses during the pandemic turned into something much bigger after I had my son. I realized how important self-care and confidence are for women, so I shifted my focus to creating products that not only work but also make women feel beautiful, empowered, and cared for. Every product is handmade with love, with ingredients chosen to be gentle yet effective.
What makes Hustle Pretty unique is that it’s more than just skincare or hygiene—it’s about turning everyday routines into confidence-boosting moments. I like to keep everything girly, fun, and approachable while also focusing on real results. Right now, I’m working on expanding my product line with scrubs, oils, and washes that fit into a woman’s lifestyle, whether she’s busy, on the go, or just carving out time to treat herself.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I think what breaks the bonds between people is usually a lack of communication and understanding. When people stop listening to each other or start making assumptions instead of talking things out, distance builds. On the other hand, what restores bonds is empathy—being willing to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, have those honest conversations, and choose to rebuild with love and respect. In both personal life and business, I’ve learned that relationships thrive when there’s trust, communication, and a genuine effort to see the other person’s perspective.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was definitely a time I almost gave up. When I first transitioned Hustle Pretty from lip glosses to feminine hygiene and body care, I felt overwhelmed. Sales weren’t always consistent, and I started comparing myself to other business owners who seemed to have it all figured out. There were days I wondered if people really needed what I was offering. But then I would get messages from customers saying how much my products helped them feel confident and cared for, and that reminded me why I started in the first place. Those moments pushed me to keep going, and now I see that every challenge was part of building something stronger.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what really matters to me is my family, my faith, and helping other women feel confident in themselves. They know I pour a lot of love into my business, but at the core, it’s really about creating things that make women feel seen, cared for, and beautiful in their own skin. They’d also say I value authenticity—I like to keep things real, whether it’s in my relationships or in my brand.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m at home, spending quiet time with my family, or when I’m creating. There’s something really calming about making products, pouring into my business, or even just sitting in my workspace with music playing while I work. It’s like my little escape where I can be fully present and in the moment.
