Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Sonya Ceasar of Cumming, Goergia

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sonya Ceasar. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Sonya , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
nswer:

“A recent moment that made me proud was winning my national pageant in July and being crowned Little Miss of America 2025. Another proud moment was creating a nonprofit with my younger sister, Jayla, called The Ceasar Sisters Hope and Healing Foundation.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Sonya Ceasar. I’m 9 years old and proudly from Cumming, Georgia, where I’m a 4th grader at Whitlow Elementary School. Alongside my 7-year-old sister, Jayla, I co-founded The Ceasar Sisters Hope and Healing Foundation, which is dedicated to helping the homeless. Our foundation is a true family effort, with my mom, Angel Ceasar, serving as CEO and my dad, Zackrey Ceasar, as a partner.

Jayla and I were first introduced to the pageant world by our mentor, Miss Georgia 2025, Audrey Kittila. For the past three years, we have had the honor of serving as her Miss Georgia Belles at the Miss Georgia Competition. Earlier this year, Jayla earned the title of Petite Queen Miss Pajama Jam, and in March I was crowned Little Miss of Georgia under the American Pageant Inc. system. This July, I competed at nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I was honored to win the national title of Little Miss America 2025!

During my reign, I am excited to travel, participate in community service initiatives, and make appearances that spread hope and positivity. This is just the beginning—so stay tuned!

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationships that shaped how I see myself are with my mom, my little sister, and my mentor. My mom is a great leader and role model for the kind of person I hope to become when I grow up. My little sister, Jayla, inspires me to set a good example and make the right choices because I know she looks up to me. And my mentor and friend, Audrey Kittila, has shown me the power of confidence, kindness, and community service—she inspires me to follow in her footsteps and do the same.

When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
I’m still a child, but when I feel sad or even scared, I remind myself to think about the happy times that are still to come. I know that difficult moments don’t last forever, so I choose to focus on the joy and positivity in every situation. By looking forward with hope, I find the strength to keep smiling and moving forward.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
The person I admire most is Audrey Kittila, who is Miss Georgia 2025. I don’t admire her just because she has the title of Miss Georgia, but because of the kind of person she is. Audrey is one of the kindest and most confident people I know. She truly cares about others and is always looking for ways to help, whether it’s through her community service projects or just by being her sweet, encouraging self. She makes everyone around her feel special, and that’s why I look up to her so much. I believe that’s also why she was crowned Miss Georgia 2025—because her heart is just as beautiful as her crown.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I truly feel like I am doing what I was born to do. Starting The Ceasar Sisters Hope and Healing Foundation was my idea, and it makes me so happy to be able to help the homeless. It hurts my heart to see people who don’t have the things that we get to enjoy every day, so I wanted to do something to make a difference. Pageants have also become such an important part of my life. Even though I was first inspired to try them, I quickly discovered how much I love it—not just the competing, but also meeting new people, making friends, and creating sister queens all over the world. Both my foundation and pageantry give me a chance to spread kindness, and that’s what makes me feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. I want to thank my sister queens in the American Pageant Inc system for all of their support and love!
