Tracey Copeland of Atlanta on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tracey Copeland. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Tracey , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
My Faith

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Tracey L. Copeland
Owner & Founder, TLC4Skin

My name is Tracey L. Copeland, and I am the proud owner of TLC4Skin, a nutritional spa dedicated to helping clients shine from within. At TLC4Skin, I believe that healthy, radiant skin is more than surface deep—it is a reflection of your lifestyle, your habits, and your overall wellness.

I am currently focused on building my clientele, my brand, and ultimately, my legacy in the beauty and wellness industry. I proudly use Mr. Lulu Skincare, a vegan skincare line, as part of my treatments because I believe in clean, effective, and ethical products that truly support the skin’s natural health.

My mission is to become the #1 nutritional spa in Atlanta, while expanding into other cities to share the message that glowing skin starts from the inside out. Every client I serve is a step toward reshaping how people view skincare—beyond beauty, into lifestyle.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
My biggest inspiration is my mom. Watching her as an independent Mary Kay contractor, hosting pamper parties and teaching women the importance of skincare for a flawless makeup application, showed me early on the power of self-care and confidence. Her passion planted the seed for my journey with TLC4Skin

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Fear tried to hold me back when I opened my salon suite while still working for someone else. I cared deeply for my clients, and that commitment led to me being let go from that position. At first, it was scary—but instead of letting it break me, it pushed me to step fully into my own vision. That experience made me stronger, more resilient, and more determined to build TLC4Skin into the thriving business I know it can be.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest industry myths is relying on influencers for skincare advice and products instead of turning to licensed skincare experts. While influencers can be inspiring, they often promote what’s trending—not what’s truly tailored to your skin’s unique needs. Skincare isn’t one-size-fits-all, and that’s why it’s so important to seek guidance from professionals who understand skin health on a deeper level

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, my clients would miss my charisma, my positive energy, and the personalized care I put into every service. I strive to make each person feel seen, valued, and cared for—and that connection goes beyond skincare.
