We recently had the chance to connect with Anndrina Butler and have shared our conversation below.
Anndrina, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
I’m learning from God right now. I’m heavy in the word how to navigate life standing on Gods word. It has giving me a different confidence when facing adversity!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Anndrina Butler, the founder of Pretty Hair Haus, a luxury hair extension brand and beauty wellness space in Atlanta, GA. I’ve spent over 20 years perfecting the art of creating natural, seamless, and glamorous hair transformations, specializing in premium Microlinks, K-tips, and volume weft installs.
For me, Pretty Hair Haus isn’t just about hair—it’s about confidence, luxury, and transformation. Every client who sits in my chair gets a customized experience that makes them look and feel like the best version of themselves.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Being a mother has completely shaped how I see myself—not just as a woman, but as a leader and creator. My children have taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of showing up as the best version of myself every day. They remind me that I’m building a legacy, not just a business, and that what I create should inspire and empower others to chase their dreams fearlessly.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
For years, I let the fear of failure dictate my choices. I stayed in my comfort zone, avoided taking risks, and convinced myself that playing small was safer than aiming high. I worried more about what could go wrong than what could go right, and in the process, I held myself back from opportunities that could have changed my life.
It wasn’t until I became a mother that everything shifted. Looking at my children, I realized I couldn’t teach them to be brave if I wasn’t willing to be brave myself. I couldn’t tell them to chase their dreams if I was too afraid to chase mine. That’s when I learned that failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s often the very path to it.
Now, I see fear differently. It’s not a stop sign; it’s a signal that I’m stepping into something that matters. And I’ve decided that I’d rather fail trying than succeed at staying the same.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I’ve learned that some of the smartest people are actually getting life completely wrong. They rely so heavily on logic, facts, and what they can see right now, that they leave no room for faith, vision, or the unseen possibilities that can change everything.
Logic will tell you to play it safe. Faith will tell you to leap before you see the net. Logic measures what’s probable. Faith believes in what’s possible. Logic says, “Wait until you’re ready.” Faith says, “Move now, and you’ll grow into it.”
The truth is, every major breakthrough I’ve had happened when I stopped trying to calculate my way to safety and started trusting God’s plan, even when it didn’t make sense on paper.
If you’re living only by logic, you’re limiting yourself to what’s already been done. But when you live by faith, you open yourself up to what’s never been seen before. And that’s where the real magic and the real miracles happen.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in full alignment with God’s plan—when I’ve released control, silenced the “what ifs,” and chosen to trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it should. Whether I’m behind the chair creating beauty, spending time with my children, or sitting quietly in my own thoughts, that peace comes from knowing I’m exactly where I’m meant to be in this moment.
