Anthony Idi of Gwinnett County on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Anthony Idi shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My day kicks off at 6 AM with a double espresso and a quick riff in my journal, pulling any late‑night ideas into sharp focus. By 6:30 I’m logged into our portal and Slack, scanning overnight alerts and client messages so nothing catches me off guard. At 7 AM I dive into the day’s biggest technical challenge, whether it’s building a new plugin or fine‑tuning server performance, and by 7:30 projects are already humming while most people are still waking up.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Anthony, the founder and lead developer at Dapper Dev LLC. We design and build WordPress sites that not only look great but are engineered for performance and growth. From custom themes and plugins to seamless hosting setups, every site is tailored to reflect a brand’s personality while delivering rock‑solid reliability.

On the marketing side we dive deep into SEO audits and on‑page optimization to drive organic traffic, set up laser‑focused ad campaigns that stretch every dollar, and layer in automations to handle follow‑ups and reporting without manual effort. Right now I’m refining our SEO audit tool so it surfaces the highest‑impact fixes first and developing an ads intelligence dashboard that keeps small businesses one step ahead of their competitors. At Dapper Dev we believe smart websites and strategic marketing go hand in hand, giving our clients the freedom to focus on what they do best.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I grew up ripping up New York streets on my skateboard and spending afternoons sketching graffiti pieces, painting custom decks and doing commission projects for friends. No one ever defined who I was; I trusted my own voice and believed in my ideas without waiting for anyone’s approval, and I still do today. Those late‑night Photoshop sessions came from wanting to bring my hand‑drawn ideas into the digital world. If I could dream a design, I’d figure out the tools to make it real. That same self‑driven spirit powers every website and marketing campaign I build today.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Believe in that spark inside you, trust your instincts and know that every mistake is just a lesson paving the way to something amazing.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d say I care most about authenticity and impact, about staying true to my vision, delivering work that moves the needle, and showing up for the people who matter, whether that’s family, friends or clients.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
They’d miss having a partner they can truly trust, someone who treats them as people not just accounts. They’d miss my authentic approach and the deep experience I bring to every challenge so they always feel supported and confident that their website and marketing are in the best possible hands.
