Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Jacqueline Ciulla of Alpharetta

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jacqueline Ciulla. Check out our conversation below.

Jacqueline, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is the most important thing to me it is essential in building character and how you appear to others. There is no worse feeling than having to appear fake to be liked. Your integrity is what makes you who you are, and no one can take that from you.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jacqueline Ciulla, a hairstylist \ content creator based in Alpharetta, GA. At my salon, Curated Hair and Company, I love working with brunettes to create effortless, lived-in color to highlight natural beauty.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that truly shaped how I see the world was when I faced one of the toughest seasons of my life and realized that through the hardest trial, all I had to lean on was my faith and that gave me the strength I needed to turn challenges into growth. It taught me resilience, my identity, and the importance of building a life that feels authentic. That perspective now shapes how I show up for myself and others every day.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power when I realized that my story could be a source of strength, not shame. For a long time, I carried my trauma quietly, but the moment I chose to own it instead of letting it own me, everything shifted. I began pouring that energy into my work, my self-growth, and the way I show up every day. That decision not only gave me freedom but also fueled my purpose to create spaces, whether in my salon or online, where women feel seen.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
First and foremost, yes, the public version of me is the real me, my life and my work are rooted in my faith in Jesus, it’s also the most curated version of who I am. I share the side of myself that’s confident, creative, and passionate about helping women feel beautiful and empowered, but that strength was built from going through some really hard seasons. The polished version people see online is authentic, but it’s also the result of growth, healing, my faith and choosing every day to step into the woman I want to be.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Something I understand deeply that most people don’t is that true confidence doesn’t come from looking perfect it comes from healing, self-acceptance, and showing up as your authentic self. On the surface, hair, beauty, and social media can look like they’re just about appearances, but for me, it’s much deeper. I’ve learned that when a woman feels seen, cared for, and comfortable in her own skin, that’s when her beauty shines the brightest.
