Nika Samples shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Nika, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What battle are you avoiding?
All battles increase my greatness and resiliency. With God I can do all things because I have the strength to conquer obstacles that present themselves to me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Nika Samples, the founder of The Vaguru® and VDAY Premier Wellness, a brand dedicated to redefining how women experience their bodies at every stage of life. My work focuses on womb health, hormone balance, menopause and personal hygiene. By using science-backed treatments, luxury product systems, and personalized care— we help women restore their vitality, preserve sensuality, and protect long-term health for a higher quality of life. What makes my brand unique is me. I am The Vaguru. I am the face of this brand. I am the woman that struggled and suffered. I am the patient that was discriminated against by my providers. I am the woman that had the surgery. I am the woman that was chosen to educate and represent the women that do not have representation. I am the voice of the of the new era in feminine care. I am the voice of the future. Every product I offer is clinically studied on humans, clean sourced, and designed to work. My approach addresses the changes women face when hormones
shift—from muscle atrophy to loss of skin elasticity to vaginal dryness. Women also experience a decrease in sexual desire and increased risk of brain deterioration and heart disease. My movement is about returning women to the basics of caring for their bodies with science, sensuality, and spiritual truth. My mission is to create a space where women feel safe, vibrant, and deeply confident in their bodies again. Right now, I am expanding The Vaguru brand with offerings that make this level of transformation more accessible to women around the world.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My brother. Leo. Long before I understood the depth of my own gifts, he recognized them. As a child, he admired me in a way that made me feel seen. A few years ago he wrote a note in my birthday card telling me that I was his first superhero. Over the years, his belief in me never wavered. He has always spoken to the woman he knew I would become, even in seasons when I could not see her for myself. That kind of unwavering love and reflection is rare, and it has shaped the way I show up for others, seeing their light even when they cannot yet see it.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I realized silence was costing me more than speaking ever could. For years I carried it quietly, believing that strength meant enduring. Pain has a way of demanding to be seen and mine began to transform the moment I gave it a voice and a name, The Vaguru. I chose to use it as fuel, to create spaces where women could heal without shame, to turn my own wounds into wisdom, and to make sure no woman ever felt alone in hers. That was the shift. My pain stopped being a weight and became my power.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies is that women’s health is a myth. Women are overly exaggerating and dramatic. Another is that quick fixes and trend-driven products will deliver lasting results. There is also a quiet but dangerous belief that addressing symptoms is enough, without ever getting to the root cause. In intimate wellness, too many brands focus on temporary solutions and pink packaging instead of science, clinical evidence, and true transformation. These lies keep women chasing solutions that will never fully restore their health, or beauty, leaving them feeling broken, frustrated, crazy and confused,
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I left women better than I found them. That I helped them feel safe in their own bodies and gave them the tools to protect their health, their beauty, and their confidence for a lifetime. I want the story to be that I moved with both power and grace, that I stood for truth even when it was not popular, and that I never stopped pouring into the women who trusted me. Most of all, I hope they remember that I made them believe in their own strength.
