

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dakota Tucker.
Dakota, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At the time 2 years ago. I was at a crossroad in my life and wanted to leave the area and have a fresh start in life, or stay in the area if an opportunity came up for me to grow into. The reason why I wanted to leave was because I felt complacent at the time. I needed to do something that I can feel like I’m growing as a person and I can make an impact in my life as well as others. I met my friend at the time who ended up being my business partner. We got to talking about what he had been up to. He told me he got into this business who expanded out to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Who are looking for people that are looking for extra income or change of career. Well I was working two jobs at the time. In a fabrication shop during the week and a security guard on the weekend. I wanted to quit the weekend job to have my weekends back. He got me interviewed with my senior broker who I considered my uncle now, When I did the interview this how I felt about it. I can see myself growing with this opportunity and achieving my dreams of where I wanted to go in my life. Having the opportunity of getting out of the clocking in and clocking out jobs. When I decided to go into business. I can say at this moment that I am glad I did it. As of today where I am at with this I am creating partnerships with people or business owners and also creating leaders in the communities. By helping people and providing a service to the community on educating people of how to grow and protect their wealth and their legacy. While helping people to take back control of time and giving them power of choice that a lot of them didn’t know they have when it comes to their finances. That which a lot of us would like to have is a “peace of mind”.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course not. Anything with business or success there is always going to be a struggle. That’s life in general. The challenges I have faced so far to me personally are to be. One, a role model to people and show the community of how important what I am trying to do for them. Because at the end of the day. I’m dealing with people’s money and their retirement. I had to make some changes in my life to best represent myself to show people I’m someone they can put their trust in. Also when getting denied phone calls and appointments that at times got me frustrated, but I had to learn to keep moving forward. I think the last challenge is the scheduling and time frame. Just trying to put an appointment together without it interfering with what I had already booked and what the client/potential partner has opened.
As you know, we’re big fans of W.G.O . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
W.G.O stands for “We’re Getting Organized”. The reason for this name. At some point in life we need to get organized with our finances. I’m an independent life insurance broker who markets some of the top insurance companies in countries over 500 companies to be exact. I’m able to work in all 50 states and maybe some outside the countries depend on where they live. The services that I can provide to people are :

What actually sets me apart from others is that I’m more of a financial goal consultant. I’m like a unique unicorn. Meaning that I’m able to help with anyone’s financial goal or need. And mainly protecting people’s money is a big one for me. We want to make sure their hard earned money is protected from any potential losses.
I really specialized in finding people’s needs. Meaning when I sit down with clients. I have to figure out what their actual needs are to achieve their financial goals. I do not sell on the first appointment. I like to have a few appointments to make sure they’re fulling knowledge on the products and services that I’m providing for them.
The brand W.G.O. is my own brand that I created. I wanted this brand to be a message for people that were all in this together. Meaning that we’re all going to have some kind of financial struggles or questions in life. No one is left alone in this. That’s why I have a wolf pack symbol for the brand to indicate we were together in this.
I want people to know that when they read this is that. I don’t consider other life insurance agents/ brokers and financial people as competitors. The only things I consider competitors are Inflation, Life, and Time. The cost of living has gone up so much and it’s going to keep going up. We don’t know how long we will get in life and what’s going to happen in our lives. It’s my civil duty to provide the best service to the people. To keep it simple I want people’s money to outlive them and the people not outliving their money. Meaning I don’t want people to retire and they run out of retirement money and they have to go back to work when they should be enjoying their retirement. Or people who struggle with credit card debt or kind of debt. I want to give people the peace of mind if something happens to them and their families are taking care of it. That’s my mission in life.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success for me. Is what I actually accomplished in life. But I won’t know until the day I passed. That moment if I can look back and say that through all the struggles that I was actually happy and I had a good life.
