We’re looking forward to introducing you to Naomi Rose. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Naomi, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Spending time with my son. He’s my outlet that brings me joy because no matter what worries are going on in the world, he just brings positive energy and personality to every situation.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Naomi Rose and I’m a Lupus advocate, content creator, and mom to my favorite little boy, Kyson. Living with Lupus, I’ve made it my mission to use my platforms and my voice as a vessel to share my journey in a way that’s lighthearted, relatable, and informative. I also take on public speaking opportunities in the Lupus and autoimmune space, and I’m proud to be able to share my experience in hopes of spreading awareness, empowering others, and building community.
I’m also the Brand Partnerships Coordinator and Marketing Director for creators Chantelle and Jamal, where I manage and secure meaningful partnerships that connect authentically with their highly engaged audience. Alongside that, I continue creating content of my own, blending advocacy, lifestyle, and motherhood in a way that resonates with people who are looking for both inspiration and transparency.
My background is in Film Production, which I combined with my creative skill set when I became a mom in 2019 to transition into full-time content creation. Since then, I’ve been able to reach millions across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, building a digital community and creating content that resonates with people on a personal level. This journey has opened doors to travel, networking, and meaningful brand partnerships, but most importantly, it has given me the opportunity to positively impact others who see their own experiences reflected in my story.
I also offer content coaching sessions for aspiring creators who want to turn their creative skills into a career. I want people to see that it’s possible to create community, opportunity, and impact while navigating real-life challenges and walking in your purpose.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is with my parents. Their love for each other over 31 years of marriage and their unconditional love for all five of their children has set such a high standard and example of healthy relationships and high value. They have always poured into me and believed in me, and their support continues even now at age 27. Because of them, I have developed confidence in myself and resilience to navigate challenges, and that has helped shape my morals and good heart to the point where I really cherish all of my relationships and I value my reputation and character.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
The same year I was diagnosed with Lupus in 2021 and chose to share my journey with the world is when my pain turned to power. Being transparent about my experience allowed me to create a safe space for others going through similar challenges, and the way my story was received showed me that community is power. As hurt and lost as I was, sharing my truth transformed my struggles into a source of strength and connection, and it continues to inspire me to use my voice for advocacy and awareness. The opportunities I continue to receive to share my voice and journey are nothing but alignment and purpose.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
100%. Everything I’ve gotten to experience and achieve comes from living my truth and just being honest about my life. I’m naturally a lighthearted person and I love dark humor, probably more than I should, but that’s just me. I don’t have any shame in showing up as myself, whether it’s online or in real life, and I’ve realized people actually connect with that kind of realness.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What pain do you resist facing directly?
The pain I’ve had to face head-on is raising my son as a single mother, knowing it’s not the “ideal” situation. There have been so many hard conversations and moments where I’ve had to adjust to explaining things to him, helping him process his confusion and curiosity, and navigating the effects it has on him. No matter how much love and support we have (our village is incredible), it’s ultimately something I’ve had to learn to face and grow through myself because it does tend to come with pain when I look in his eyes.
