Story & Lesson Highlights with Brittney Pippins of Atlanta

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brittney Pippins. Check out our conversation below.

Brittney , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
In the first 90 minutes of my day, I like to set the tone with structure and focus. I usually start by taking a little time for myself whether it’s prayer, gratitude, or just a quiet moment to center my mind. Then I plan my tasks for the day and prioritize what’s most important. Once I’m settled, I jump right into creating or handling client orders so I can use that early energy to be productive. I’ve found that having a consistent routine really helps me stay disciplined and motivated throughout the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brittney, and I’m the founder and fashion designer behind Bazar Moda, a brand that’s all about one-of-a-kind, custom fashion. I’ve been passionate about designing since I was a little girl, and what started as customizing T-shirts and sneakers has grown into a full brand where I create custom pieces, upcycled boutique clothing, and personalized items for clients. What makes Bazar Moda special is that it’s built on creativity, individuality, and the idea that fashion should feel personal.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My earliest memory of feeling powerful was when I realized I could create something with my own two hands that people actually loved and wanted. I remember customizing sneakers and jean jackets right after high school—adding spikes, studs, and designs—and seeing people light up when they wore them. That feeling of turning my creativity into something that made others feel good gave me so much confidence. It was the moment I knew I had a gift and the power to shape my own path through fashion.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power when I realized how short life really is, and that we can’t take any moment for granted. Losing loved ones, especially my father, taught me that pain can either break you or push you forward. Instead of letting it hold me back, I decided to use it as fuel—to chase my dreams, build my brand, and live fully in my purpose. That shift turned my pain into motivation, and it’s what keeps me going every day.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
One project I’m committed to, no matter how long it takes, is bringing my brand Bazar Moda to the Met Gala. I’ve always been fascinated by the bold, unique, and sometimes daring looks on that carpet—it’s like a true celebration of fashion as art. From the moment I started designing, I knew that was where I wanted my creations to be showcased. For me, it’s not just about the glamour—it’s about proving that my vision, my creativity, and my story deserve to be on one of the biggest stages in fashion. That’s a dream I’ll never let go of until it’s reality.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, I think my customers would really miss the quality of my work and the fact that I can make things happen, even on short notice. They often tell me they appreciate not just the end product, but also my kindness, patience, and the way I treat every project with care. I believe they’d also miss my fairness when it comes to pricing—because I always try to make custom design accessible without sacrificing quality. At the end of the day, I think they’d miss the personal touch I bring to every order.
