Hi Belvin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey into the travel industry actually started with a terrible vacation experience. At the time, I was a busy professional planning a special wedding anniversary trip. I spent countless hours researching destinations, hotels, and reviews—I was determined to get it right.
But when my wife and I finally arrived at the hotel, it was such a disaster that she wouldn’t even sleep under the covers. That first night, instead of enjoying the trip, I found myself scrambling to plan a new one.
Then I remembered I had a contact in the travel industry. With just one call, everything turned around. By the next day, we were checked into a stunning hotel with incredible views, had a private driver at our disposal, and—best of all—my contact even negotiated a buyout of the old hotel so I didn’t have to pay twice.
That experience was a wake-up call. I realized there were so many other busy professionals like me—people trying to plan important vacations but without the time, resources, or insider knowledge to make it seamless. That’s when I launched Showtime Travel: a luxury travel agency that designs unforgettable vacations for busy professionals, so all they have to do is show up and enjoy.y.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many in the travel industry, we’ve had to navigate major challenges—from a global pandemic to periods of civil unrest. But through it all, we’ve kept moving forward by staying focused on what makes Showtime Travel unique.
We don’t design “one-size-fits-all” trips. Instead, we specialize in creating luxury vacations that are tailored to each client. Luxury can mean different things to different people, but for us, every experience we design must include three things:
Customization – every detail is built around the client’s vision.
Exclusivity – access to experiences and opportunities that not everyone can get.
High Quality – from accommodations to service, nothing less will do.
Because of this approach, our clients not only love their vacations but also continue to refer us and share amazing testimonials. That trust and loyalty have been key to helping us grow, even during difficult times.
