Today we’d like to introduce you to De’Ron Ragland.
Hi De’Ron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Church Unchained Ministries is a seasoned, level-headed, comprehensive, thorough, biblically based and Holy Spirit-led healing and deliverance ministry that understands spiritual warfare. We treat individuals with love, dignity, and respect at all times as we minister to them in humility. We understand each person is unique, complex, and created in the image and likeness of God. We take the time to patiently explain what we do and why we do it as we help people to realize their full potential in Christ. We judge no one and prophetically-given knowledge and personal details are kept confidential unless shared personally as a testimony by the individual. We have years of experience in helping people to get free of demonic and man-made chains which have bound them.
Our church opened in January of 2018 and here we are seven years later expanding and walking in the favor of God. We recently purchased a new building and with that came additional purchases including but not limited to uniforms and apparel for public law enforcement and service members. God placed it on my heart to help those who “protect and serve” by donating these uniforms to those public departments free of charge. We have had several departments already take advantage of our initiative and express their gratitude for the gift along the way. We’re hoping this reaches more so they too can be blessed!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been pretty smooth for the most part but like anything in life it has not been perfect. If you were to see this 15,000 square foot warehouse and know of everything we are working on to transform it into our new house of worship unto God, you’d understand the sweat and inconveniences we have endured. Nonetheless all glory to God for the blessing! I’d rather we have to work for it then to not have received it at all.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My career as of today is solely focusing on advancing the Kingdom of God. I am an Apostle/Overseer at Church Unchained 24/7 and 365 days a year. When you work unto the Lord you build a love for setting God’s people free. If you were to ask the members to describe me they would tell you I wear many hats. Whether that’s fix things that break in the church, providing marital counseling to the newer marriages in the church, holding financial classes to assist people in debt relief, teaching about finding their purpose in Christ and so much more. Funny enough, I’m an identical twin but what I believe sets me apart is I see in people what they don’t often see within themselves. God has given me an innate ability to recognize potential and I’ve noticed I can sometimes want it for that person more than they want it for themselves but I would say my compassion for the people of God is what sets me apart from others. I have spent countless hours wanting people to experience spiritual freedom and achieve their purpose when most leaders would’ve given up but my selflessness is a trait not found in many people today.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The traffic in Atlanta is horrendous, I grew up in Chicago so I didn’t think traffic could get worse but Atlanta has taught me otherwise. Atlanta has some pretty good weather, much different than the Windy City when you compare and contrast fall evenings and spring mornings.
