Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Vann’Barron.
Hi Grace, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Movement has always been a part of me. As a little girl, I poured my energy into sports and later into the discipline of competitive gymnastics. I loved the challenge, the artistry, and the freedom that came with pushing my body to move in new ways. But like many athletes, injuries came with the territory. Over time, I found myself limited, frustrated, and searching for a way to feel strong again.
That’s when I discovered Yoga and Pilates. What started as a tool for recovery quickly became a lifeline. These practices didn’t just heal my body—they gave me back my zest for movement and reminded me that strength and grace can be rebuilt, no matter the setback. It was life-changing, and I knew I had found my calling. I wanted to bring that same healing, freedom, and joy to others.
The passion to open a studio of my own grew out of that experience. I wanted to create a space where people could feel supported, challenged, and encouraged—where movement wasn’t just about exercise, but about transformation.
Now, more than a decade later, that vision has grown beyond what I could have imagined. With two successful Yoga Pilates Barre locations, I’ve had the privilege of watching lives change daily—clients finding strength they didn’t know they had, instructors growing into leaders, and communities forming around the love of movement.
What began as my personal journey has become something so much bigger. Yoga Pilates Barre isn’t just a studio—it’s a reflection of the belief that when you nurture the body, you empower the spirit. And every time I walk into the studio, I’m reminded of why I started: to share the happiness and freedom that movement gave me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to opening two studios has been full of lessons, growth, and yes—its fair share of challenges. But I like to think of those challenges as stepping stones rather than setbacks. Each one pushed me to grow, adapt, and lean deeper into the vision I had for Yoga Pilates Barre. From navigating the risks of starting a small business, to building a team, to balancing the needs of a growing community, every obstacle became part of the journey that shaped who I am today.
Through it all, my faith has been my foundation. Every obstacle became a reminder to trust the process, lean on God’s timing, and believe in the vision He placed in my heart. I learned that struggles are often where the deepest growth happens—both personally and professionally.
Looking back, those challenges shaped me into a stronger leader and gave Yoga Pilates Barre the depth and authenticity it has today. They reminded me that this journey was never meant to be just about opening studios—it was about creating a place of connection, healing, and strength for others. And with every hurdle, my faith carried me forward.
As you know, we’re big fans of Yoga Pilates Barre. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Yoga Pilates Barre is more than just a fitness studio—it’s a place where movement meets community. We specialize in Yoga, Pilates and Barre classes, with a focus on helping people build strength, flexibility, and balance in a way that supports both body and mind. Our classes are designed to meet people where they are, whether they’re brand new to movement, recovering from injury, or looking to take their practice to the next level.
What sets us apart is the atmosphere we’ve created. We believe fitness should feel approachable, uplifting, and empowering—not intimidating. Our instructors are trained not only to guide classes safely and effectively, but also to foster connection and encouragement. Each class is structured with thoughtful cueing, modifications, and progressions so every client can succeed.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the consistency and heart behind what we do. Over the years, we’ve developed our own instructor code of ethics, peer-review systems, and detailed teaching guides to ensure our clients receive the highest level of care. This commitment to quality and accountability makes our brand stand out in a crowded industry.
I want readers to know that YPB isn’t just about workouts—it’s about transformation. We’ve seen clients regain confidence after injuries, discover movement they thought was out of reach, and build friendships that extend far beyond the studio walls. Our brand is built on the belief that when you nurture the body, you also empower the spirit. That’s the essence of Yoga Pilates Barre, and that’s what makes us proud to do what we do every day.
