Meet Lorerna Aguiular of Alpharetta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lorerna Aguiular.

Hi Lorerna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hi, I am Lorena and it all started when I met my husband. I was working in regular offices had just finish Collage and I thought I was on my way to my collage career but I was wrong. Recession arrived and no jobs within the education I had. I did had lots of experience working in office but the competition back then was terrible. I had to do nurse work, and I did not study for that, if I did not then no job for me. Or almost everyone will tell me over paid.
I was never afraid because I knew God was caring me and protecting me and my son. Back then he was 12 years old. And guess what? I just had bought my house in 2008 but I had no idea I was going to lose my job. But that did not hold me back. I worked two jobs, day and night, little pay but enough to pay my mortgage and food on the table for my son. Then in 2010 I met my husband he is the reason I felt he was it. I was not alone anymore and in my heart felt we were going to be a team. He had his business, but not big enough to support me and my son. One day I saw injustice, builders or clients were taking advantage of him, they were not paying him for the work and my husband had no idea he had rights too. So I quit my two regular jobs, with a little money in pocket but I hang on. We both had to climbed the ladder with him, like starting all over again. He is physically fit and experience in this industry and I have the brains and the education, so we did make a team. We both agreed to get on the same boat and move forward. Tireless I worked late nights doing marketing, website, looking for new clients to call the next day. My husband now, lost a lot of the clients back then, because I forced new policies, like pay within 14 days or get late fess and so on. And they did not like it, but thank God we had a full hand of other clients. And that’s how it started, we have grown together, have more experience, people now know our conditions as well we know theirs. We made so many clients so happy some became friends and still till this date we are friends. We still have a lot to learn, new technology, new products and new ways to make our clients very happy. Because that is the main reason we are here, treat our clients with respect and like family. We may not make a lot of money but we are happy when we see happiness in their eyes. Yes, the ladder to clim is hard because there is lots of computation and a lot of jealous people. But God is good and he always protect us and defends us from such people. We just do what we have to do, our job, make homeowners happy and we will be fine. As for my husband he has accomplished a lot, he tries to get educated, goes to courses to get to know new technology and still doing a lot of ART.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes, struggles, people not paying and not honest. But God is good he reward us with more, opens other doors for us. You may be thinking “you probably do such bad work that you do not get pay for that reason”, but no we do art, you will have to see what we mean, words are not enough. Yes, just like anyone, we are not perfect, we make mistakes, but we resolve them. Only God is perfect.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We do renovations, master bathrooms especially. Cero entrance showers, I mean real cero entrance showers. We can install a steam shower, it takes a lot to do these types of steam showers, lots of materials, and labor. Very expensive. We specialized in big panel 10’ tiles, marble, kerdi systems, and you name it we can do. A small note, we are certify to do the Kerdi system.
