Christina Bingham shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Christina, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
This ones easy— absolutely I would! My husband and I spent over 10 years servicing high-end celebrity clientele in our prior careers. When I started my photography business I knew I wanted to bring in that level of exceptional customer service, but I also knew I wanted to keep it affordable for every-day couples. Our business model is to go above and beyond the role of typical wedding photographers. I can guarantee you won’t find another photographer with our skill level + experience, in our price range.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Christina Bingham, my husband Grant and I successfully run Christina Bingham Photography together! We are a husband and wife team of wedding photographers specializing in delivering exception photos to creative, unique, and head-over-heel couples. We pride ourselves on delivery a boutique style experience, with over the top professionalism, insane attention to detail, all at a price that won’t start your marriage off in debt. We focus on prompt driven directing rather than stuffy posed portraits. This gets you and your partner engaged and interacting organically so your photos reflect your authentic relationship. A shoot with us is like your bestie third wheeling it on a date night, camera in tow and instagram worthy ideas. We are regularly told by couples how fun and easy we made their entire experience!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would have to say my husband Grant. We have a truly beautiful marriage. He is an unwavering seat of loyalty. He prays regularly for me to continue to find purpose in life and for my success. He encourages me to follow my dreams, no matter how crazy they might appear. He’s my biggest fan and my true best friend.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Girlfriend, you are cool! The way you walk around with those scraped up knees, climbing trees fearlessly, and your reverence for nature will one day lead you down a path you could never imagine. Keep being fearless, keep being outspoken, and keep being that fiery little redhead full of passion. You’re going to meet a lot of people who try to diminish your light but you’ll only burn brighter in spite of them. Don’t shrink yourself to become more digestible for people who can’t fathom the profound Spirit that lives in your little being. You are perfect and wonderfully made and I love you so dearly!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
I don’t think I have it in me to fake anything. Sure we all wear a certain mask when interacting with different kinds of people, but I’ve learned over the last few years this is more in an attempt to relate, not to be fake. My soul is a beautiful varied spectrum, I know how to hang with red-necks and aristocrats alike. For so long I deeply questioned my dichotmic nature only to realize that my ability to bridge contrast is my biggest God-given gift. It bridges worlds in a world deeply polarized. I’m deeply grateful for my authenticity.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
This one makes me laugh. I’ve been on a deep spiritual journey, really my whole life. When you see the world the way that I do, people deeply misunderstand you. They want you to fit into their polarized version of reality. “Left vs Right, Black vs White, Good vs Evil”. When you refuse to identify as only one thing many can’t wrap their heads around it, so instead they grasp for finite understanding that typically lands very flat compared to the actual depth of an individual. For so long this drove me crazy… both figuratively and literally. I wanted more than anything to be known and understood. Over the past couple years I’ve released this longing. How can anyone understand the complexity of “me” if most barely even understand themselves. My legacy will be understood only in the patient unfolding of time; in the kindness my children seed in the world, in the prayers I say over strangers, in the way I live my life aligned with goodness, patience, and kindness. My legacy will be great, even if not a single person notices, the Universe will and if that’s my only witness, I bow in honor.
