Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin Lubin.
Hi Devin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into launching a farm venue business has been both personal and passion-driven. It all started with a deep love for the outdoors, community gatherings, and creating spaces where people can connect and celebrate life’s special moments.
For years, I dreamed of turning a beautiful piece of land into something more than just a farm. After plenty of planning, learning, and hard work, that dream is finally coming to life. We’re in the early stages of opening, and it’s been exciting to watch the transformation—from raw land into a welcoming venue designed for weddings, events, and meaningful experiences.
This business is rooted in a desire to offer something different: a peaceful, rustic setting with modern touches, where people can slow down and create lasting memories. It’s a space built with intention, heart, and a strong connection to the land.
While we’re just getting started, I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and look forward to growing alongside the community we’re here to serve.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like most meaningful ventures, the road to opening our farm venue hasn’t always been smooth—but every challenge has helped shape the business into what it’s becoming.
One of the biggest struggles has been navigating all the logistics that come with launching a venue from the ground up—zoning, permits, inspections, and infrastructure planning. There’s a steep learning curve when you’re balancing the vision for your space with the realities of regulations and timelines.
Financing and budgeting have also been ongoing challenges. Transforming raw land into a usable, welcoming event space takes significant investment and careful planning to avoid cutting corners while still staying on track.
On a more personal note, there have been moments of doubt and fatigue—especially in the early stages when the to-do list felt endless and progress seemed slow. But I’ve learned to stay focused on the “why” behind this project and take it one step at a time.
Each obstacle has taught me something valuable and made me even more committed to building a venue that reflects care, intention, and resilience.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Lubin Family Farm ?
Launching Lubin Family Farm has been both a professional milestone and a deeply personal dream. What began as a vision to turn a piece of land into something meaningful has grown into a purpose-driven venue where people can celebrate life’s most special moments surrounded by nature and authenticity.
Lubin Family Farm is a newly opened farm venue located in Oxford, Georgia, created for weddings, private events, and intimate gatherings. Our setting offers peaceful, wide-open space, rustic charm, and intentional details that create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We specialize in outdoor events that are relaxed, personal, and full of character—bringing together people, nature, and memorable experiences.
What sets us apart is the heart behind everything we do. This isn’t just a rental space—it’s a space built with care and intention. From the land development to how we connect with our clients, every part of Lubin Family Farm reflects our values: community, simplicity, and genuine hospitality.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the atmosphere we’ve created. It’s not just about the scenic views or beautiful backdrops—it’s about making every guest feel like the space was made just for them. We want every event here to feel meaningful, comfortable, and unforgettable.
While we’re in the early stages of our journey, we have BIG dreams for the future. We hope to expand into seasonal events, farm-to-table experiences, and more community-centered experiences. But no matter how we grow, our mission remains the same: to offer a space where people can slow down, connect, and celebrate in a setting that feels like home.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe luck has played a role in my journey, both in small, unexpected ways and in bigger moments that shifted everything. There’s definitely been some good luck—meeting the right people at the right time, finding the perfect piece of land for Lubin Family Farm, or stumbling across resources or advice exactly when I needed it. Those moments have felt like gentle nudges in the right direction, and I’m grateful for them.
Of course, there have also been stretches of bad luck—delays, weather issues, unexpected expenses, or timing that didn’t go as planned. But in hindsight, those challenges often brought lessons or forced me to pivot in a way that ended up being for the better.
Overall, I think luck creates moments of opportunity, but it’s what you do with them that matters most. I’ve learned to stay adaptable, keep working hard, and trust the process—even when things don’t go exactly as planned.
