Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Price.
Hi Erin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Screen Early. Live Fully.
screensaver.LIFE was born from a simple but urgent question: Why are 85% of eligible Americans still not getting life-saving cancer screenings?
After decades in healthcare and MedTech, our founder, Erin Price, saw a glaring gap that most innovation focused on managing patients after diagnosis, not preventing cancer in the first place. The system is reactive when it needs to be proactive.
Erin’s inspiration came mid-flight after watching the story of Bumble’s founder, who disrupted the dating world by challenging the status quo. That same day, the vision became clear: create an app that puts screening power directly in the hands of the consumer—an intuitive, AI-driven platform to educate, eliminate barriers, and give people real options without fear, cost, or gatekeepers.
This was never a solo mission. Over a decade ago, Erin met Dr. Nina Maouelainin, a world-renowned lung cancer expert, during an oncology tech initiative. She was struck by Nina’s relentless passion for saving lives and ability to lead change in some of the most complex areas of medicine. Years later, that vision aligned—two innovators from different worlds united by a single mission: end the era of late diagnosis.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Actually, being in healthcare for the past 25 years has afforded me a ton of opportunities and has allowed me to build an incredible network of people. I will add though, that being a female in a predominantly male world has brought challenges of its own. Companies want yes men, they want people who don’t rock the boat and honestly because most men are bread winners I have found they are generally ok with these terms. I too am the breadwinner of my family, but I have always been a challenger, someone who believes in doing the right thing even when it’s not popular and I am always challenging the status quo because I believe that’s where the best ideas come from.
For my current journey. the actually business concept, planning, finding a founding team has been pretty amazing and easy. The fundraising has been the most challenging part. We are in a tough economy and people aren’t seeing returns on their investments like the want. I do feel like we are close.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Traveling is therapy for me, and sharing my love of volleyball with my kids is one of my greatest passions. Paying it forward is my life mission; I strive to live in truth and lead with love and compassion, knowing that so much can be accomplished when we put people first and that’s what sets me apart.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I do consider myself a risk taker, but my risks are guided by faith and purpose. A little over two years ago, I left a stable six-figure corporate role to step into the unknown and create something I felt was missing in healthcare. As the breadwinner for my family, that was no small decision, but I trusted God’s plan and leaned into consulting while I prayed over my next journey. Through networking and stepping outside my comfort zone, I’ve been able to align my work with my passion—helping people through innovation in healthcare.
Looking back, I realize I’ve been taking risks from the very beginning. Right out of high school, I knew I wanted more than the life I grew up with. We had what we needed, but I felt called to push past limits, break glass ceilings, and challenge the status quo. For me, risk is not about recklessness, it’s about being bold enough to pursue growth, even when it’s uncertain, and trusting that the outcome will be worth it. My guiding principle is that if I can use my gifts to help people and lead with love and purpose, then the risk is always worth taking.
