Life & Work with Drew Cohan of West Newnan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drew Cohan.

Hi Drew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The journey started in 2021 when we bought a large tract of conservation land bordered by the chattahoochie bend state park.
There was an immense amount of work to be done on the land to make it livable so I set about contacting local companies that do what we do now.
My dissatisfaction with that experience led me to start renting the equipment and doing it myself to my standards.
During that time I fell in love with the work and the process and realized I could do better. Omega Environmental was born!
Today every job we do results in lifetime friendships and alliances, turns out folks wanted the same things I wanted when improving their properties.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a small business is one of the scariest things we can do, especially when it’s later in life and failure isn’t an option.
Many a night I lay awake wondering where my next job would come from and if it would come in time to meet the immense burden of equipment payments, but I never lost faith.
Just stand on the guiding principles and tenacious work ethic and the rest will work out.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I transform land/properties from overgrown unusable spaces to picturesque landscapes that allow people to utilize and enjoy 100% of the land they own.
I’m most proud of the result we produce for folks, the way they react when they see it, and the relationships built each project we do.
What sets us apart is 2 fold, first is the standards we uphold, second is the result we provide. Both unheard of in this industry.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
The land will always be our most precious resource, always. We must cherish it, preserve it and make it better for coming generations to enjoy.
