Hi Will, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After earning my MBA at Emory’s Goizueta Business School, I was hungry to go into business for myself. My time in management consulting showed me the impact that a strong strategy and team can have on an organization, but I wanted to bring that same level of clarity and accountability to local businesses.

Again and again, I saw the same challenges: owners wearing multiple hats, trying different tactics to get noticed, and working with partners who weren’t delivering results. That frustration pushed me to build something different.

The name 2andbeyond came from a very personal moment. My wife and I were sitting in the parking lot of our local grocery store, having lunch in the car on a rainy day, reflecting on how our oldest son’s growth had skyrocketed after he turned two. We said, ‘From the age of two and beyond, his development has been incredible.’ That became the perfect symbol for what we wanted to create — a company that helps businesses grow, develop, and “skyrocket” when given the right support.

We didn’t truly realize we had something special until we saw the results with one of our first major clients. Within a year, they went from being almost invisible online to becoming a recognized leader in their market — proof that with the right blend of strategy, visibility, and accountability, growth can happen faster than most business owners imagine. That success showed us the real potential of what 2andbeyond could deliver.

Today, we help home service businesses, K–12 schools, and other organizations cut through the noise with simple, results-driven digital strategies. We do things right the first time, we genuinely care about our clients’ success, and we treat every business like family. That combination of strategy, accountability, and care is what drives us.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In the beginning, I was wearing every hat — strategist, account manager, web developer, even bookkeeper. That was overwhelming, but it taught me the value of building repeatable systems, which is something we still emphasize with clients today.

Another challenge has been earning trust in an industry where many small business owners have been burned before. Too often, they’ve worked with partners who promised the world but didn’t deliver. To overcome that, we focused on creating small, measurable wins and building accountability into everything we do.

And like many entrepreneurs, balancing family life and business growth has been its own challenge. But our family story is part of why 2andbeyond exists, so weaving those values into the way we serve clients has helped us stay grounded. In the end, those struggles shaped us into a firm that values clarity, accountability, and care above all else.

2andbeyond is an Atlanta-based digital marketing agency that partners with home service businesses to drive real growth — more calls, more leads, and more time for owners to focus on what they do best. Our focus is on the strategies that drive the biggest impact locally — Google Business Profile management, local SEO, paid ads, email marketing, and review systems — but what sets us apart is how we approach it.

Too often, small businesses are stuck with partners who are hard to reach, hard to understand, and impossible to hold accountable. We keep marketing clear and transparent, we tie everything back to measurable results, and we treat every client like family.

Brand-wise, what we’re most proud of is not a flashy campaign or a big budget spend — it’s the transformations. Taking a business that was virtually invisible online and helping them become the go-to name in their market. Watching home service businesses earn trust in their communities because they finally have the visibility and credibility they deserve. That’s what drives us.

At the end of the day, 2andbeyond is here to give business owners peace of mind that their marketing is finally working. We believe growth doesn’t have to be complicated — it just has to be done right.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest advice is to focus. In the early days, it’s tempting to chase every opportunity or try every new tactic, but the businesses that grow are the ones that build clear systems and repeat what works.

Don’t mistake movement for progress — it’s not about staying busy, it’s about focusing on what actually drives growth.

And finally, never forget that relationships matter. If you genuinely care about your clients, deliver on your promises, and treat people like family, you’ll stand out in any industry.
