Today we’d like to introduce you to Howard Moore.
Hi Howard, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to becoming a Nation Wide Household Goods mover starts with a family tradition of entrepreneurs. The Moore family has been in business in Enterprise Al since the 1930’s. These generational local farmers and small business men raised me to believe in the Gospel, hard work, and love for family and community. I am humbled to say that these foundations have led me to live by principles that have inspired me to where I am today. The path to being a church planter began in Lakeland FL where I earned my BS and eventually my Masters in Leadership development with South Eastern University in Florida. I began pastoring in my early 20’s here in Enterprise, AL and have been ever since. Today, my wife and I pastor The Bridge Church and we are celebrating 17 years this month of September, 2025. Our church family have been become family and we can’t imagine our mission in God’s kingdom without them. As I entered into the pastoral calling, I also went into business working with my uncle in his furniture store in 1981. We became an integral small business right here in Down Town Enterprise and were located there for over 20 years. We loved every minute of it. But times change and sometimes we have to shift with the tides. I eventually bought part of the business form my uncle and converted it to a moving company in 2006. I had no idea the challenges nor the thrill that this ride would be. My wife and I have simultaneously built this company and our church over the last 17 years while raising our family. Today we are blessed to say our company has provided well for our community, it’s military members and our family dependably through many trials and many moments of exhilarating joy. We hope to continue to grow and serve our community through both our church and our business with excellence as the years carry us through and to let it all be for the Glory of God and for His Kingdom.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No one escapes this life without a few challenges, but with God we prevail. Yes, we have had many moments where we would be within days of not knowing if we were going to make it to payroll. We would spend every spare moment grappling with hard decisions and committing ourselves to prayer. Nothing will develop your faith like running a small business or planting a church and doing both will deliver miracles upon miracles. I remember one time, in early days we needed $1000.00 within 24 hours and if we didn’t find it, we were at a point of “shut down”. We had accessed every resource we had and were literally living on a prayers. I’ll never forget the day a young lady walked into our warehouse unexpectedly grabbed my hand and stuffed something in it before she hugged me, made a brief explanation and went on her way. After she left, I was stunned and looked at the cash she had placed in my palm, it was exactly $1000.00. We had nothing, and yet God delivered. This is the paradigm of small business living with God in the driver seat. Recently our industry has taken a titanic hit and we as well as other small business moving companies across the country have been in a fight for survival. To say it has been difficult is an understatement. But when I remember the $1000.00 moment and so many like it since then, I am encouraged that resilience is the only option because if God calls you to it, He will provide.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
There are so many people who have contributed to both our business and our church growth it would be impossible to name them all. I will say thank you to my wife and children for the sacrifices they have made over the years as they have shared precious time with me for those in need and the long hours it takes to grow a business that will successfully feed a family. I’m also grateful to the patriarchs in my family who taught me how to endure hard things and never give up.
