Today we’d like to introduce you to Neiba Cordero.
Hi Neiba, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Most people know me as Viry, short for my middle name, Viridiana. I began working with social media in my early 20s, collaborating with Hispanic radio stations before moving into the marketing industry. Being bilingual in English and Spanish has been a great advantage along the way because it has allowed me to bridge cultures and connect with diverse communities. Over time, I developed expertise in digital strategy, content creation and brand positioning, which helped me blend creativity with measurable results. Eventually, I built my own business in the digital space, and through that journey I learned firsthand how challenging it can be for small businesses to stand out and grow. That is why I am passionate about helping other entrepreneurs expand their reach and establish themselves in the market. I have been in their shoes, and I truly love seeing them succeed.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most entrepreneurs, my journey hasn’t always been smooth. One of the biggest challenges was starting out without a big team or large resources. I had to wear many hats and learn as I went. At times, balancing creativity with the business side was difficult, but it taught me how to be resourceful and strategic. Another challenge has been educating small business owners who may not see the immediate value of digital marketing. That pushed me to not only provide services, but also create educational tools through Digitize Academy to empower them. Looking back, those obstacles have helped me grow stronger as a business owner and allowed me to serve my clients with more understanding and empathy.
As you know, we’re big fans of Digitize Marketing. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Digitize Marketing is a bilingual marketing agency based in Duluth, Georgia. We help entrepreneurs and small businesses grow their digital presence through social media management, content creation, video production, website design, and brand strategy. What sets us apart is that we combine full-service solutions with education. Many of our clients are new to digital marketing, so we not only manage their campaigns but also guide them step by step so they feel confident and empowered.
We’re especially proud of creating Digitize Academy, an extension of our brand where we teach practical skills like building your first landing page, launching your social media presence, or editing professional videos with just a phone. Our mission is simple: help businesses look professional online, gain trust with their audience, and grow with confidence.
What I want readers to know is that Digitize Marketing is more than just a service provider—it’s a partner. We care about your business as if it were our own, and we’re passionate about helping you achieve results that make a difference.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I believe finding a mentor starts with being open and willing to learn. For me, mentors have often come from the relationships I’ve built by putting myself out there, whether in the Hispanic radio community, business events or digital spaces. My advice is to connect genuinely, not just to ask for help but to build real relationships where both sides can share value.
Networking has worked best for me when I approach it as a way to listen and learn about others, not just talk about myself. I’ve found that when you show genuine interest in people, the right mentors, collaborators and even clients come naturally.
What I always remind entrepreneurs is not to wait for the ‘perfect mentor’ to appear. Learn from everyone you meet, stay curious, and over time you’ll build a network that pushes you forward.
