Exploring Life & Business with Sydney Nieveen of Sojourney Travel with Sydney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sydney Nieveen.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started with a love to travel. My family started going on yearly family vacations to Riviera Maya Mexico when I was 12 and that sparked my obsession for travel and experiencing new things. Mexico is where I have most of my travel experience, but as I graduated college and started my career, I’ve visited so many more places that have been on my list. I love having the ability to go to new places, plan new experiences and so I figured I’d love having the opportunity to grow my own business doing that exact thing. Sojourney Travel has given me an amazing home as a travel advisor and I love everything our company stands for.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s not always been smooth, of course. Is anyones business smooth? Starting your own book of business is the hardest thing, especially as a young adult fresh out of college. The biggest struggle has been creating the “trust” factor with my clients. So my clients can truly TRUST that I am capable of planning them an amazing trip!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sojourney Travel with Sydney?
I am a travel advisor. Our company has a network of over 50 dedicated advisors, we are small but mighty! I specialize in planning honeymoons, couple’s/adults trips and most types of romance travel. I’ve planned all-inclusive vacations in the Caribbean, but I’ve done romantic honeymoons in Europe, specific examples not limited to Iceland, Greece, Italy and France. What sets me apart from others is my personal relationships with the suppliers and hotels I send you to. I have personal contacts all over the globe and love the support that they provide us. I’m proud of how my business has grown. I want readers to know that I have experience planning trips all over the world! And that I provide 24/7 support to my clients while traveling, as well as customized itinerary support.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love the opportunity in our city! There’s always something going on, I especially love sporting events, food and wine festivals, shopping and spending time outside, especially the botannical gardens.
