Meet Rosemay Mathieu Stewart of Country Financial Insurance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosemay Mathieu Stewart.

Hi Rosemay, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Atlanta-born and raised, I spent a few years in Miami with my mother before moving back to Atlanta to live with my father. A mother of one daughter (and a male dog), sister and aunt. From the moment I graduated high school, I’ve always had a natural talent for sales. My early ambition was to work in the medical field, but after witnessing several negative experiences with friends and family regarding their treatments and care—and the impact it had on their lives and mental well-being—I began to rethink my path.

With no clear direction at the time, I entered the banking industry, where I built a strong foundation and spent over 15 years developing my skills. In 2019, I transitioned into insurance, starting my career with State Farm as a sales representative. By 2024, through the grace of God and a push of faith, I was blessed with the opportunity to open my own location.

Today, as I move toward 2026, I proudly serve as an agency owner with Country Financial Insurance, continuing my journey of helping individuals and families protect what matters most.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My road to success has been far from smooth. I started my book of business from the ground up and have worked tirelessly to grow it to where it is today. While I was fortunate to be granted a small portion of business in the beginning, it wasn’t much—and in the insurance industry, retaining clients is no easy task, especially with today’s rising rates. Despite the challenges, I’m grateful to be standing strong, approaching two years as a proud business owner.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in auto, home, life, health, small business, and commercial insurance. In addition, I work closely with my colleagues at Country Financial to provide financial services such as retirement planning and more. Our company is proud to be ranked #1 by Forbes for our life insurance products!

Although I’m fairly new to business ownership in the insurance industry, I take great pride in delivering exceptional customer service and treating every client like family. My goal is to provide the same level of care and service that I would expect if I were the one calling a business for help

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has truly helped me succeed in this industry is my willingness to be genuine and transparent. I’m never ashamed to admit when I don’t have all the answers or when I make a mistake—as a human, it happens. What matters most is my commitment to finding the right information and doing what’s best for my clients.

Being open and honest builds trust, and that’s the foundation of my business. I’m always seeking like-minded individuals to connect with, whether it’s to share ideas, network, or learn from the stories of other entrepreneurs as we grow together
