Briana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been an artist at heart. I knew I wanted to go to college, but I wasn’t sure which direction life would take me. One day, I found psychology and thought I’d pursue art therapy—helping people elevate their minds through creativity and healing.
After two years of college, I realized that path wasn’t truly my calling. I worked a few jobs here and there, but something inside me kept searching for more. Then one day, nails called me. I can’t explain it—I just knew it was for me.
While working my warehouse job, I paid for my nail class and went all in. That leap of faith changed my life. I discovered my passion, my craft, and my lane.
Now, 8 years later, I’m still evolving, still creating, and still manifesting the life I want—doing the work and giving it to God every step of the way. Stoner Krylix is more than just acrylics; it’s the art, the hustle, and the manifestation of a dream I refused to let go.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road while chasing my passion and building my career. When I first jumped out here, I didn’t have a blueprint. I started my business before I even had the direction to guide me—I had to learn everything on my own, and honestly, I did a lot of things backwards.
On top of that, life kept testing me. Personal struggles came and went, and at one point I even had a freak accident where nail glue shot into my eye (I know it sounds crazy, but it really happened).
Those moments could have made me stop, but instead they became part of my testimony.
We all face trials and tribulations, but the true measure is how you pick yourself up afterwards. Every setback has fueled me to push harder, create smarter, and stay rooted in my passion.
