Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Scoville.

Hi Josh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Years ago I ran a computer repair business since my background is in Information Technology. In that business, I worked on both residential and commercial systems and even network troubleshooting and installation. Through that business doing my own bookkeeping, I learned that I was pretty good at it. Also through my fulltime job where I manage other employees and department budgets, I gained more experience working with numbers. This led me to start Scoville Bookkeeping Solutions in 2024 to help other business owners gain financial clarity and realize increased profits while getting time back in their day to focus on the things they really want to do and got into business for in the first place.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I struggle with marketing. I am not a marketer and don’t really understand that world, plus it’s expensive and when you’re trying to start up a business without straining the personal budget, it is tough. I would say that has been my biggest struggle along with being an introvert trying to meet people and network.

Scoville Bookkeeping Solutions 478-81-BOOKS offers virtual bookkeeping services along with banking services as well as payroll services to business owners. We love helping startups to get started on their business journey and setup properly so when tax time comes around, their CPA has an easier time, which saves the business money.

We work with businesses in the 1-20 employee range and specialize in the service based industries. Having a background in IT, we speak the language and understand this business so I would say, this is a niche market for us. We integrate various cloud based software tools allowing seamless communication between us and our clients and making it easier for the client to provide needed documents and receipts in a way that is convenient for them.
