We are Rachna and Deep, co-founders of House Proud Avenue. Our journey began with a shared love for creating spaces that tell a story — spaces that feel lived-in, timeless, and beautifully layered. We founded House Proud Avenue with a simple belief: luxury interior design doesn’t have to feel distant or unattainable. It can be accessible, inviting, and deeply personal..

From the start, we’ve been drawn to spaces that feel timeless — where textures, tones, and natural elements come together effortlessly. We wanted to move away from trends and create designs that would age gracefully, carrying a sense of warmth and quiet luxury.

Every project we take on is about more than just aesthetics. It’s about understanding how people live and what makes them feel at home. Whether it’s transforming a single room or reimagining an entire home, our goal is to design spaces that tell a story — one that feels calm, grounded, and beautifully curated.

House Proud Avenue is our way of helping people see that luxury isn’t about perfection but rather about creating a home that feels authentic, enduring, and proudly yours.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most new businesses, our journey has had its learning curves. The biggest challenge for us has been helping homeowners realize that interior design is more accessible than they think. Many people assume that working with a designer is only for big budgets or luxury homes, when in reality, thoughtful design can transform any space — no matter the size or style.

Changing that mindset takes time. We often meet clients who have lived in their homes for years without ever imagining how much potential their spaces hold. Guiding them through that realization — showing them what’s possible within their comfort and budget — has been both the hardest and most rewarding part of what we do.

There’s something truly special about watching someone fall in love with their home all over again. That moment makes every challenge worth it.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate to have amazing people around us from the very beginning. Deep, as the managing partner, plays a huge role in keeping everything running smoothly — from operations and logistics to ensuring every project is executed seamlessly. I focus on the design side, bringing our shared vision to life through creative direction and client collaboration. It’s truly a balance that keeps House Proud Avenue grounded and growing.
