Meet Christo Heggs of Chamblee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christo Heggs.

Christo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started a fashion line called Heggs in 2021. My goal was to create a high-end fashion line by focusing on timeless designs and innovation. I started off releasing garments 2022 inspired by a vintage aesthetic. I curated private sip & shops every 30 days through-out year 2022 in ATL. 2023 I did a 2-year anniversary release celebration. I purchased a production studio known as the 12 Factory, to start my 3rd year building the brand, Heggs, which allowed me to expand my creativity along with generating another stream of income. I prided myself on doing my own renovations along with maintenance, and I am still building the building. Hg.studio92 also known as House of Heggs is now a pure investment of passion and I am 4 years in, right next door to Locals Only Workspace!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I purchased everything out my back pocket, so it has been very tedious when it came to budgeting. I invested my money into something I knew very little about business wise but was very passionate. Dealing with renovations and restoring the place was a battle due to me ending up in Lowes and Home Depot often. I had to get the place approved by Code enforcement with very little help which caused fines and rapid learning curves. Last but not least, building the clientele and marketing my designs along with conducting and running a business has overall been a hand-full of smiles and frowns. I’ve had more good days over bad days, so I am thankful for the process. The journey continues.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a designer, visualist, director and innovator. I love turning nothing into something precious. I create graphics, direct visuals, script write, style, cut & sew when needed and help others bring visions to life. I’ve always been known for my fashion sense and attire. I am very proud of my resilience because the investment is deeper than just a financial thing. You must be willing to overcome adversity. What sets me apart from others is my fashion sense and timeless creations.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I aim to be creating and designing until my hair is grey or I go bald. Overall, I see my business expanding fashion wise and getting more high-end clientele to trust the brand. My ideal for House of Heggs Production studio is to simply build clientele and maximize my revenue in a 5–10-year time span. Eventually, I would love to purchase another production studio and create an intimate/private membership for the next location. Fashion wise, I aim to create different aspects of high-end wear and sports attire with a sense of fashion. The goal is to grow my own line to catch the attention of a high-end fashion lines for hire as a creative direct or designer. The sky is the surface- Heggs
