My journey began over 20 years ago in the healthcare industry as a certified medical coder, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity in patient care. While I found purpose in that work, I also discovered a passion for creativity, storytelling, and helping others present their best selves to the world.
That passion led me to entrepreneurship. I started my first business, The Family Brand Movement, which was birthed through a partnership with my son. Our mission was to help families achieve financial and personal success by building stronger brands and mindsets rooted in purpose and legacy.
As my vision expanded, I launched Blue Diamond Brandz™, a brand management agency initially focused on helping women entrepreneurs clarify their message, elevate their branding, and increase sales and leads. Over time, as technology evolved and I recognized the growing impact of artificial intelligence, I decided to pivot and restructure the business model.
Today, Blue Diamond Brandz™ has transformed into an AI-powered brand management agency, merging the best of branding strategy, healthcare expertise, and cutting-edge technology. My work now focuses on helping healthcare professionals, wellness brands, and purpose-driven entrepreneurs harness AI to grow with confidence, compliance, and creativity.
From coding medical claims to coding brands for success, my journey has been about evolution, empowerment, and using innovation to create impact.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. Entrepreneurship tests your faith, focus, and flexibility in ways you can’t always prepare for. In the beginning, one of my biggest challenges was learning how to balance being a mother, a full-time professional in healthcare, and a business owner. When I first started The Family Brand Movement with my son, I had to learn how to lead while still allowing him to have a voice in the vision we were building together.
As I transitioned into running Blue Diamond Brandz™, there were financial and emotional challenges that came with growing a brand from the ground up from finding the right clients to managing self-doubt when things didn’t move as fast as I hoped. Then came the pivot into AI, which meant investing time and resources into learning new technology, and rebuilding my brand identity to reflect the new direction.
Each obstacle, though difficult, taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying aligned with purpose. The journey has been far from easy, but every challenge helped refine my vision and strengthen my foundation as both a leader and a woman in business.
