Today we’d like to introduce you to Jae Vinson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Design OCD, LLC was founded by Jae Vinson. Jae comes from a family of creatives with a mother that is also an Interior Designer. In the early stages of Jae’s career, she found blogging to be a way of unleashing her passion and creativity for design projects, decorating endeavors, and home improvement escapades. Inspired by Deborah Needleman’s words,
“Decoration can be life-enhancing. It can make dinner parties more fun, kids happier, relax easier, talks more intimate, guests at ease. And to think, decorating is often considered frivolous. Making a charmed and happy home is a noble endeavor.”
Jae set out on a mission to live her dream of interior decorating. She enhanced her natural abilities in design by obtaining a certification from Emory University in Interior Decorating and Home Staging. She has completed many freelance projects and has assisted in professional renovation projects. Her work has been described by clients as “exquisite”.
Jae’s unique transitional design style allows her to pay attention to detail while maintaining a low-pressure collaboration with clients. As she customizes each project, she remains focused on the end goal which is bringing the client’s vision to life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most creative entrepreneurs, I’ve faced imposter syndrome and the growing pains of balancing artistry with business. Over time, I’ve learned to see challenges as proof of progress and to trust the unique perspective that makes Design OCD what it is.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Design OCD is a home styling and interior decor business focused on creating spaces that feel intentional, collected, and deeply personal. I specialize in blending new and vintage pieces to tell a story — one that reflects the people who live there, not just current trends. What sets Design OCD apart is the attention to detail and the obsession (in the best way!) with balance, flow, and character. I’m most proud that clients often say their homes finally feel like them after we work together. I want readers to know that Design OCD isn’t about perfection — it’s about personality, comfort, and creating spaces you truly love coming home to.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t really believe in luck — I believe in preparation, timing, and faith. The moments that might look like “good luck” from the outside usually came after a lot of hard work, persistence, and showing up even when things felt uncertain. For me, it’s less about chance and more about being ready when opportunity meets effort.
