Rising Stars: Meet Aaron Wright of Lithonia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Wright.

Hi Aaron, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey as a substitute teacher in the public school system and was struck by the evident need for more men in education. This realization motivated me to take action, leading me to establish my own homeschool. Many of our students stay with us for two to three years before transitioning back to traditional schools, while others have successfully graduated from our program and gone directly to college.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Parents being able to pay for services that they strongly desire..

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am very proud of the student lives we have changed for the better. I teach math and science. Our approach to instructions is directly hands on with each and every student. We keep our classroom small. 15 students.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I spend most weekends improving on our teaching techniques.
