Today we’d like to introduce you to La’Nisha Rene.
Hi La’Nisha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
From Corporate Climb to Community Catalyst: The Story Behind LR Consulting Firm!
For over 17 years, La’Nisha Rene thrived in corporate America — leading teams, driving results, and breaking barriers. Her career was defined by structure, deadlines, and measurable success. But everything shifted the moment La’Nisha Rene became a mother.
Motherhood didn’t just change her schedule — it changed her purpose. What was once a world of business metrics and boardroom meetings became a world of balance, nurturing, and redefining what success truly meant. La’Nisha Rene realized that while corporate America had made space for women’s ambition, it hadn’t yet made space for their evolution — for the seasons of womanhood that require compassion, flexibility, and community.
As a mother and professional, La’Nisha Rene experienced firsthand how women are often forced to choose between excelling at their careers and showing up fully for their families. The lack of support, understanding, and safe spaces for women who wanted both — to build empires and raise their children — became undeniable.
That’s when LR Consulting Firm was reborn.
What started as a bold idea transformed into a purpose-driven consulting firm built to empower womenpreneurs and mompreneurs — women who are creating, building, and thriving on their own terms. Through strategic business consulting, marketing empowerment, and community-building, LR Consulting provides the tools, resources, and guidance women need to grow their businesses while embracing every part of who they are.
Because success should never come at the expense of self.
Because motherhood doesn’t diminish ambition — it deepens it.
And because women deserve to build legacies that reflect both their brilliance and their balance.
Today, as the CEO of LR Consulting Firm and lead consultant and coach, I stand as a voice for change — proving that when women are given space, support, and strategy, they don’t just build businesses — they build movements.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The transition wasn’t easy. After spending over 17 years in corporate America, I found myself at a crossroads — one that many women face but few talk about openly. When I became a mother, my priorities shifted. My schedule, my energy, and my purpose had to evolve. But corporate America doesn’t always allow room for that evolution — for the flexibility, compassion, and community that motherhood requires.
I loved my career. I had an amazing employer for over four years — a company that offered incredible opportunities and trusted me with meaningful work. But as my daughter grew, so did my awareness that I couldn’t give them the time and schedule they needed without sacrificing the moments that mattered most at home.
So, I got strategic.
Instead of walking away completely, I negotiated a new path — one that honored both my professional expertise and my role as a mother. I transitioned from being their full-time employee to becoming their consultant. What once was my employer is now one of my main clients.
We both got what we wanted.
I continued to lead major initiatives — building their marketing department from the ground up, streamlining processes, enhancing sales enablement, leading a full rebrand, and overseeing the creation of a multifunctional website. These weren’t just projects; they were reflections of my dedication and skill — things I couldn’t just walk away from.
In the end, they gained a trusted marketing partner, and I gained the freedom to show up for my daughter in every way that mattered — to take her to school, pick her up, do her hair for her recitals, take her to swim classes, and be fully present in her life.
This journey taught me one of the most valuable lessons of my career: it’s okay to say no. It’s okay to choose yourself. And it’s okay to design a life that aligns with your purpose and your peace.
I may not be making the same corporate salary (for now), but I’m building something far more meaningful — a legacy rooted in balance, empowerment, and intention.
The transition wasn’t easy, but it was absolutely worth it.
As you know, we’re big fans of LR Consulting Firm, LLC, LM Investment Company, LLC, Nisha & Nova Farm, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
In 2009, I founded LR Consulting Enterprise, LLC, and in 2020, founded LR Consulting Firm, LLC – a business coaching and marketing consultancy dedicated to helping women and mothers bring their entrepreneurial visions to life. Through LR Consulting, I have worked with celebrities, artists, agencies, media outlets, and publications—leading initiatives, hosting radio and talk shows, and driving awareness for both rising and established businesses. LR Consulting Firm continues to empower women through coaching, branding, and strategic visibility.
In 2024, I resigned as the Marketing and Sales Enablement Director at EspriGas after redefining the company’s brand, sales enablement strategy, and digital presence. I helped position EspriGas—a multimillion-dollar, technology-forward gas company—for scalable growth through compelling storytelling, strategic marketing, brand development, website design, and sales-driven campaigns that contributed to consistent year-over-year (YOY) revenue and channel partnerships growth.
But after years of pouring into my corporate career, I made a life-changing decision—one that many women wrestle with. I chose to transition from my executive role to focus on what mattered most: spending quality time with my daughter and growing my own businesses. Today, I continue to serve EspriGas as their trusted marketing consultant—but on my own terms—proving that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of motherhood, purpose, or freedom.
My background also includes impactful work as a publicist and magazine editor, contributing regularly to both fashion and business media. I have written for platforms such as Kontrol Girl Magazine, AGJ Magazine, and Polish Magazine, and am the published author of A Girl’s Journey reading book and activity workbook—a guide designed to help girls ages 13–16 build self-esteem with the support of their parents, community, or guardians. Through these platforms, I continue to share my entrepreneurial insights and champion youth empowerment. My passion for supporting the next generation led me to create resources for parents and educators focused on fostering confidence and leadership skills in teenage girls—work that reflects my unwavering commitment to creating lasting, generational change.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Post-Master’s Degree in Psychology and Human Behavior, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
I am a proud advocate for generational wealth and women-led growth. I am the Co-Owner and CEO of LM Investment Company, LLC, which was founded with my mother and focuses on second-chance rental housing and foundational support. LM Investment Company empowers single mothers by helping them rebuild stability and independence, turning temporary setbacks into long-term success stories.
In another passion project, I launched Nisha & Nova Farm with my daughter, a family-centered farming and homesteading initiative that teaches families, especially youth, how to grow food and sustain a garden—planting seeds of resilience, knowledge, and self-reliance. It also creates an opportunity for my daughter to learn leadership and community service from an early age.
