Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Robbins.
Hi Lee, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I just scratched your weighted from oral Roberts University, got married, and planted my very first church in Norcross, Georgia. We were a young couple with three little children when tragedy hit in my life. I was falsely incarcerated for a paper crime. I did not commit. I spent 3 1/2 years in a federal prison after being snatched out of my pool pit, not literally but figuratively to do time. After overcoming bitterness and shame, I accepted The God wanted me there and I started making a difference from the inside out. Came out of prison started working for the governor’s office and station in Probation and Parole as a community coordinator to help formally incarcerated individuals to get housing jobs, transportation, and many other resources. I loved it so much that I began to create a one stop shop for Reentry and now we passed her at church where 99% of the attendees are formally incarcerated individuals. We also have become an author of a book called ” pain pushed me into purpose. We now contract with prisons and higher life coaches to coach them to give them better second chances.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Going to prison is not easy even when you have committed the crime but 10,000 times is difficult if you have not committed to crime but you’re doing the time. Coming out of prison I felt the pain of others with the stigma of being a formally incarcerated individual was not easy.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Be true to yourself even when others don’t like you. Because you are who God has made you and he has allowed you to go through the pain and struggle in your life for purpose. If you deny yourself, you will be denying others of a version of yourself that only you can present. Keep it real, and God will do the rest.
