Hi Kanetta, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was reading the ingredients in a bottle of lotion I was about to use one day and thought man this is a lot of stuff and I didn’t know what half of it was.
I decided that I would as a hobby just make my own shea butter with less ingredients & something I knew would be healthy for my skin.
I researched the best oils to use including carrier oils to be able to add scents.
I ordered a few jars and a few essential oils and did what I considered a test run. I took my jars to work with me to get the opinion of my coworkers at the time on what they thought about it. They loved them so much they bought all the jars I took to work that day and told me I could definitely go into business selling scented Shea butter.
I invested in myself got my LLC, started going to conventions and pop up shops and the rest is history.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe with any business it’s not always smooth. You have times when business is doing great and then there are times when nothing is happening. You have to learn to keep going no matter what.

I make shea butter that consists of raw unrefined shea butter that’s whipped together with almond oil, grape seed oil, coconut oil and avocado oil.
Some are mixed with essential oils to give it a scent.
The scented shea butters are a real hit bc everyone loves to smell good.
I have several scents including a lot of popular colognes and perfumes.
I’ve also begun to bedazzle mirrors & make custom bedazzled wine bottles that are really a hit and make great gift ideas.
