Exploring Life & Business with Jamie Joubert of JBJ Enterprise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Joubert.

Jamie Joubert

Hi Jamie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been creative, and graphic design became the perfect way for me to channel that creativity into meaningful, impactful work. I started designing about six years ago in college, mostly creating social media graphics for local businesses and events. Over time, that passion grew into my business, JBJ Enterprise, where I now help various-sized businesses bring their ideas to life through fun, bold, and thoughtful graphic, website, and brand design.

Along the way, I’ve worked with clients across different industries, from restaurants and construction companies to nonprofits and healthcare, which has helped me become a versatile designer. What keeps me going is the joy of seeing my designs make a difference for someone’s brand or event. I’m growing, learning, and pushing myself creatively every day, and I love that my work allows me to connect with people and tell their stories visually.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but every challenge has helped me grow. In the beginning, one of my biggest struggles was not knowing any other designers or entrepreneurs. I had to really put myself out there and start building my network from the ground up. Over time, that’s become one of the best parts of my journey. I’ve made numerous amazing connections that have evolved into business partnerships, friendships, and even new clients.

I’m also still figuring out how to price my work confidently. It can be tricky finding that balance between wanting to help people and making sure I’m valuing my time and effort. I’ve learned that not every client or project is worth the stress, especially if it doesn’t align with what I know my work is worth, and that’s been a big part of my growth as a designer and business owner.

Building confidence has been another ongoing process. Putting yourself and your work out there can feel scary, especially when you’re still finding your footing. But the more I’ve done it, the more comfortable I’ve become with being uncomfortable, trusting my skills, and letting the work speak for itself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My business, JBJ Enterprise, is all about helping brands stand out through fun, bold, and thoughtful design. I specialize in graphic, website, and brand design, working with businesses that want to bring more creativity and personality into how they show up. Whether it’s a full brand refresh, social media kit, or print materials, I love creating designs that feel intentional, eye-catching, and true to each client’s story.

What sets me apart is the energy, care, and details I put into every project. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all design. I take the time to really understand my clients, their goals, and their audience so the final product reflects them, not what’s trending.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how JBJ Enterprise has grown into something that truly reflects who I am as a designer: creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others succeed. I want readers to know that when they work with me, they’re getting more than just a design; they’re getting a partner who’s just as invested in their vision as they are.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Qualities that have been most important to my success are adaptability, resilience, and building genuine relationships. As a designer and business owner, things don’t always go as planned, and I’ve had to learn how to adjust, stay focused, and keep going even when things get tough. Every challenge has taught me something new and pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect.

I’ve also learned not to be afraid to try new things or step outside of my comfort zone. Some of my best opportunities have come from taking chances. Whether that’s meeting new people, learning new tools, or saying yes to projects that stretched my skills. Connecting with people authentically has been a huge part of that growth; so many opportunities, partnerships, and friendships have come from simply showing up and being genuine.
